I don't feel sorry for people that buy boxes for the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 because they didn't read the ad. I do blame them, not the people selling it. If people don't read what they bid on, then they have no right to blame anyone else. I think the people that sell things like that are stupid, but I have no problem with them doing it if they do it right and people are just too stupid and buy the things anyway.

Going out of your way to mislead people and tricking them into buying something other then what is intended is crooked and they should all be banned from E-bay. Sorry but your character is pretty questionable if you dont see a problem with trying to con people out of their hard earned money.

Judge Judy isn't a part of the legal system... like you said in an earlier post the "defendant" there signed a contract to be on that show, and that contract probably signed away all of her rights. She probably doesn't have a "right" to make a defense if they don't want to give it to her. Don't confuse a real defendant's right to put on a defense in a court of law with that "defendant's" right to make her case.

I wonder if the "defendant" is regretting her decision to enter into that contract? I wonder if she wishes she hadn't gone on that show? Ironic no?

I know all of this, which is exactly why I hate these shows. But it's also why I think it's ridiculous for anyone to go after, and make fun of some lady because she got yelled at on a stupid tv show that is supposed to, at least in some way resemble a legal proceeding. Everyone applauds Judy for screaming at this woman like a lunatic, and to me she was just rude, stupid, and quite out of line. Anything for ratings though I guess. I'm sure they all get paid enough money to handle any "judgement" handed down. I find it funny that the ruling was for $5,000 for $450 ads too. Like I said from the start, "Judge Judy" is a joke, as are all the other shows like it, though she is more annoying than most.

I said before that I think the people that do these things are stupid, and I would never attempt it myself. However, if their auctions are done correctly, and they follow the guidelines set forth by ebay, they have every right to do what they do, whether someone agrees with it or not. I have absolutely NO sympathy for people who get burned by this sort of thing. If you can't, or won't read the item description then you have no business bidding on ebay. Ebay even gives a warning when you bid that you are entering into a contract to purchase the item and that you need to read the description very carefully. It's pretty simple, at least for most of us.
