Nope. I'm actually not a big college football fan overall. Mainly because of the disparity between most teams. Teams like Alabama should NEVER play teams like North Texas. It's completely pointless. It's like NFL teams playing college teams. They (yes, Alabama and LSU) would absolutely get smoked by the worst teams in the NFL. It's pointless and stupid.

Anyhow. I follow Texas and TCU because of personal ties. Though I only watch games that they play against that will be competitive. If Texas is playing North Texas, I'll pass.

Scheduling is not any particular university fault. That's something which the NCAA could enforce and improve upon, but they don't because of the :money: involved.

SEC is the best FOOTBALL conference without question.

Now I have to give the Big XII conference it's props as the best Football/Basketball conference...esp with WVU joining and hopefully louisville.

The ACC is by far the best basketball conference now with Syracuse and Pitt joining Duke and UNC.

funny, I live in the South, and I completely disagree with your assessment. I don't think you could be any further off.

The SEC is by far the best football conference. If your major gripe is that they schedule weak teams for homecoming and the season opener's, that is because playing in the SEC is like murderer's row. You are almost guaranteed to play at least 5 top 25 teams throughout the season. Every major team does it. Why single out the SEC? Didn't Texas or Oklahoma just play Ball State recently? You see it all the time in College Football.


Alabama plays 5 top 25 teams this year.
Tennessee played: Georgia/LSU/Alabama/S.Carolina four straight games. (6 overall top 25 games)
LSU has 7 top 25 teams on schedule.

Wow. First of all, there are a lot more trailers in Oklahoma and West Virginia than any southeastern state, and second you've clearly never visited the southeast. Florida and Alabama are two of the five hottest tourist states in the country, the Carolinas are awesome and Louisiana has some of the best food in the world. I lived in Louisiana for a period of time. While cajun food can be really good, the place suck something fierce. Mosquitos the size of softballs, snakes (Cottonmouth Water Moccasins) slither through your shoes, and when it floods, coffins float down the street! (they don't bury people there, they put them in Mausoleums because it's a marsh)

BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU star cornerback Tyrann Mathieu, leading rusher Spencer Ware and defensive back Tharold Simon returned to practice on Tuesday for the first time since being suspended a week ago for violating the team’s drug policy.

The three were barred from Tiger Stadium for No. 1 LSU’s 45-10 victory over Auburn last weekend, but coach Les Miles said they should be on the field when the unbeaten Tigers visit second-ranked Alabama on Nov. 5 in what has become one of the most anticipated games of the college football season.


“We’re practicing, preparing them to play and operating along that way,” Miles said. “We’re going to plan on using them.”
