Seahawk takes a shot

Seahawks linebacker Julian Peterson believes the key to attacking the Cowboys' offense is confusing it with blitzes.

"The weakest part of their offense is probably the offensive line," Peterson said. "We are going to try to put a couple of different stunts because they have been having a difficult time picking up blitzes in different line stunts, so we get the guys going to different angles and confuse the offensive line, maybe we can get some good pressure on Tony [Romo].

Peterson also believes Romo gets flustered under pressure.

"He is going to try to get to the outside edges and let his legs and his ability to run around a little bit and create some more time for his receivers," Peterson said. "If we can bottle him up and keep him inside the pocket, it will be an easier day for us."

cant say I disagree with him. Its frustrating that the same stunts keep working against us. the seahawks front 7 makes me very nervous. I think they are very good.

It just dawned on me our o-line can't pick up blitzes because in practice (Or in a game) our defense can't create one...:bang2:

Yeah, I don't think anyone can disagree with him.

Our O Line is by far the weak point on offense, and has been for some time.

Not so sure that Romo can't pass from the pocket though, if that is in fact what he's trying to insinuate. I think Romo, if just played to be contained in a pocket, can still get the job done. We may not get the huge plays that we get when a play breaks down and he runs around and finds a receiver, but I think he can still get it done from within the pocket, myself.

Romo has helped disguise our O-Line troubles, and don't get me started on horrible they are at run blocking. Marco Rivera looks like hes packing it up after this season, the guy looks just plain bad.

As a pass-rushing front, they have alot of talent, and I think a decent rotation, but I havent seen the injury report. A few screens early could discourage their efforts at stunting and blitzing.

But there's not chance we do that. :(

Between this and Kitna, I'm getting a real Circle-the-Wagons feeling about this game. Seriously. These guys are acting like we're the Raiders, and we aren't that bad. This wreck of a team did manage to win nine games this year.

No pro athlete wants to be called out in public like this, and you know it's hissing them off. I'm betting we at least see the best effort Saturday since the Colts game.

To me this is no different than Plaxico calling out opposing teams DB's and then getting shut and his team losing. This guy is scared and WE WILL WIN.... now I am sure of it.

Wurd.

That's worth hoping for.

Is it really "calling someone out" when you just say what everyone knows?

The sad part is if Bradie James played on a different team and was asked what our offensive weakness is he'd prolly say our WR's. ;)

You know...you have a somewhat valid point. But, to add on, the oline might not be able to pick up stunts/blitzes as well as they should because Parcells does not like to really do much of either, so, therefore, if the defense does not practice them against the oline, how is the oline going to learn how to handle them!

You play like you practice, so, I just wonder how much the defense does practice doing the blitz/stunt? Because if the defense is not successful trying to blitz, I wonder if it's because Parcells does not like to practice them? He has said the he don't like to blitz...so therefore maybe they don't practice them, hence, the oline don't know how to handle them?

I'm confused now!

All you mad bombers calling for complicated blitzes and stunts need to take a walk down memory lane and revisit the start of the 2000 season ... when Zimmer was brought in to bring an aggressive, attacking D into big D, only to be gauged by three straight 200 yard rushers.

Oh, yeah...I do remember that!

I'm just wondering since the Boyz don't blitz, how is the oline going to learn how to handle teams that do blitz alot?

The scout team probably does and kills them...Maybe the scout team should start.

Frankly I think Dallas can put points up against the Seahawks. Scoring points is one thing we have been able to do

Not to mention Kitna saying on the radio that Bradie James is the weak link in that defense, and that he looks like he doesn't know where he's supposed to do.

So let me get this straight -- Our offensive line is the weak link on the line (outside of Julius Jones) and Bradie James is the weak link of our defense (outside of our sorry passrush that Kitna admitted wasn't good)
