That's not the play this thread is about. He was talking about the one in the third quarter. And no, I didn't think he was going to score on that one. Too many guys were downfield.

As far as Julius not getting out of bounds on the final drive, another killer on that drive was Bledsoe's 4-yard "scramble," which cost us a timeout. He had Witten open in the flat and could have passed to him, and he could have gotten out of bounds. Or Bledsoe could have thrown it away to stop the clock. That timeout would have come in handy after either one of Julius' catches.
That "scramble" was the worst thing Bledsoe could have done he really just panicked there not something you exspect from your veteran QB and its that thought process is what makes me beleive Drew is not the answer at QB.

It was reported in TC that he added weight and bulked up his upper body.

No, it wasn't. It was reported that he bulked up his shoulders, but actually weighed LESS then he did last year.

And burmafrd, I agree in concept with what you're saying, but I don't think JuJo bulked up THAT much. Not enough to have that big of an impact on him.

Hopefully it's just a sophomore jinx. It happens.

HE made a mistake on the prior play

But on his screen a Giants player was shadowing him on his left, he wasnt going to get out of bounds. as stupid as it may sound, he should of flipped it, rather than jsut go down and end the game

that was all one in a billion anyway

I don't think he is completely healthy so he doesn't have the burst that he had last year.

He runs the ball like a FB. He is so scared to fumble, he wraps both hands around the ball, and bends over like Alstott or even Moose Johnson. Problem is, he is no where near the size of them, and he loses all of his quickness, allusiveness, and balance by running like that. Watch him run last year, then watch him run now.

I'll say this, our best running output of the season was Barber.

I really don't fault him for not getting out of bounds on that one. He's got the ball with some room to run. He's probably got a better chance of getting in the end zone as a Hail Mary pass.

I don't think it was a lack of a second gear -- I think JJ was worn down. He spent a lot more time blocking that in previous games -- and he had a lot of touches running behind a line that wasn't giving him much help.

True but I would like to ask an off subject question here. What do you all think about 3rd and one and they try to throw it to TG? :bang2:

When he couldn't beat Uminyoura (sp) to the corner on that one play where they faked right and pitched back left, I knew there was something wrong with him. He is NOT back from the ankle injury. I think it is obvious.
