I must have fast forwarded through the play where he got hurt. It was late and I was tired and watching it on TiVo...it went completely over my head.

It really sucks because as much grief as he gets on this board I'm one of the people who think he is a pretty good lineman. You can't have Pro Bowlers at every position but when you can put a good solid player between two Pro Bowlers you get almost as good.

There were reports that Berger might have been pushing him for the starting job anyway (though I doubt it was going to happen htis year). If true though this might turn out to actually improve the O-line (we can only hope) since he brings a little more bulk and with Houck's style of line play bigger is better. Still I ALWAYS hate to see a good player like Kosier (or any player for that matter) get injured and I hope he comes back fully healthy and quickly.

The only contract he will get with us is for one day so he can retire a Cowboy.

Ummmm probably because Larry has just recently shown he is capable of playing football on an NFL team, while Troy hasn't thrown a pass in about 7 years.

Just a hunch as to why.

There is a difference between being good, and going out there and being detrimental to the team and getting beat by every defensive linemen you face.

Larry's stint in San Francisco was a disaster, yet according to you he has shown RECENTLEY that is he capable of playing football....unbelievable, thank God you don't work in the personal department of the Cowboys.

Larry Allen could barely stand up 3 years ago and was beaten badly in pass protection. Pushing 40 this aint 1998 anymore.

The dude asked why we dont go after Troy Aikman as well, and I responded with why. Larry has shown he can still play, as several posters in this same thread have stated he was pretty decent with SF.

The 2008 version of LA is much different than the dominant version who once played for our team. Bringing him back sounds much better than actually doing it and watching him again. Sadly his play would be disappointing.

I thought it was "up to 6 weeks", meaning 6 weeks would be the max...
