Why are we even debating this topic???
Wade is keeping the seat warm for Jerry's golden boy Garrett, who will be the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Just follow the clues and there is no doubt this is already lined up.
Clue #1...Jerry talked about what Wade had to do to stay on as HC, mainly win the division and have a home playoff game. I didnt hear Jerry say jack about what Garrett had to do.
Clue #2....Garrett is not the coach fighting for an extension, he is already locked up and is being paid "HC money" as we speak. No other assistant in the NFL makes as much as Garrett does.
Clue #3.....We are currently ranked #4 in the NFL in total offense. Barring a major meltdown, we will end the year ranked in the top 10 in almost every major offensive statistical category. Garrett will get the credit for this, not Wade.
Clue #4....Jerry has already said that Garrett "was in the family portrait". I didnt hear Jerry say jack about Wade being in any picture.
Bottom line......The HC job is Garrett's to lose. Jerry has already laid out what Wade has to do to get that option picked up, so if we crash and burn it will be no surprise that Wade will be shown the door and considering we have a top 5 offense, Garrett will be named the new HC of the Dallas Cowboys.
for some reason that took me a minute to get, been reading too much of the "we need to pass it to win it" thread I suppose...but once I got it...very nice.
