If I was going to move up to the Raiders spot it would be for RB Peterson. I say this because with him you’re talking a guy who will touch the ball 25 times a game compared to even the best WR who will have a lot less touches. QB's and RB I would be willing to make a trade like this WR I wouldn't.

Just an idea. The Raiders want to get out from under the first pick in the draft because they can’t afford the 30 million guaranteed money that the first pick will command. They need more picks or players to fill up holes that are glaring and would probably take much less than the chart requires to trade up that far. Jerry Jones knows Al Davis well (and visa versa) and likes to do business with him. Jones’ team is much less needy than the Raiders and can probably afford a number one-over-all’s demands as well as any. His team also has some young well-regarded players that he could do without because he has adequate replacements in the wings.

Suppose Jones offered Davis a swap of first round picks, Spears, the Dallas fifth round pick and the initial seventh round pick in order to select Calvin Johnson. Would Davis consider it? Would Jones?
