You know, the guy that played at an in state college and many fans were hoping for the Boys to draft him. I'm not downing the kid or anything, but it just seems strange that he still has recorded a tackle with all of the physical tools the guy has.Eddie said:Who's Derrick Johnson?

At least some of us have the balls to leave our first round picks up to see how they do and deal with whatever happens.50cent said:You know, the guy that played at an in state college and many fans were hoping for the Boys to draft him. I hope your not talking to me as a Horns hater. I was going on the NFL's Game Stats.silverbear said:Sorry, Horns hater, but you're full of bovine fecal matter... NFL.com lists him with 3 tackles in his first game:

Scroll down a little less than halfway down the page, you'll get to the defensive stats...
1 in his second:

And last but not least, 2 tackles in tonight's game:

That works out to 6 tackles, in a little less than 6 quarters play... not real impressive, but a long way from your propagandistic take on things...
But hey, don't let me get in the way of your mindless hatred of DJ...

Hence no tackles through the period I was speaking of.
My team has and will always be FSU, although I like talent. DJ was high on my list of players that I would have wanted. Every week I go to the NFL Game Stats to see how each rookie is doing for every team and it just struck me that he wasn't in any of them. If you do a search, I'm one of the guys that is always talking about the draft a year in advance and Dj was one of my favs. Young will be on my list of players to watch. By the way, I'm waitn for my apology.silverbear said:Hey, if I'm wrong, I'll be happy to apologize... but given that DJ is not a member of the Dallas Cowboys, and so is rather irrelevant to the dialogue in here, and given that your numbers were inaccurate, I naturally assumed you were pursuing an anti-Horns agenda, as so many in here do...
Well, I don't know what was wrong with the gamecenter stats, but I have linked you to the gamebook stats, which are the FINAL stats for each game, and if you bother to pursue those links, you'll see the numbers I shared with you...
I'll take your word for what the gamecenter stats show, since there's no reason to believe you'd lie about them... but in the future, you might be better served to click on the gamebook links, they offer a much more comprehensive stats breakdown...
Like I said, I go to the Game Stats. I've never gone to the play by play or the team stats, just GAme Stats that the NFL provides.AdamJT13 said:Did you check out the plays on which he got those tackles?

Rack said:I don't think anything he posted could be seen as "Horns Hate", SB. People have been criticizing Merriman too, but I don't see anyone accusing them of "Terps Hate".
Rack said:I like DJ. I think he'll be a good LB, but his style of play would of been a terrible fit for a 3-4 defense.
