Yes Romo owned him. But then the season ended with no playoffs. I guess if some are satisfied with that, and can hang their hat on Romo's individual success, then go for it.

Personally, I have higher goals for this team.

Dude the story was about Romo you're always switching things to your doom and gloom crap. It's getting old. Geez!! Smh!!

And that was Romo's fault? Please, Romo was the ONLY reason week 17 was meaningful last year -

Damned if he does, damned if doesn't.

We would've made the playoffs last year if they were solely decided by "individual success" of your QB, but sadly that's not the case as Football is the ultimate team sport and as a team we're average.

Pretty crazy choke job by Romo there. Oh wait.

The tweet wasn't a slam about the team. It was about Romo. No surprise that you lack the capacity to comprehend the difference.

He is trying to get a job with ESPN. That's how you get in the headlines. He should fit in with Marshall Faulk on the NFL Network.
Naw, Tony will save his money for AFTER retirement as well. Kind've sad to see these past players ALL applying for the same positions after they are out of the league. Former player insight (locker room, practices, etc.) can be interesting but their analysis is usually painfully weak. Like describing the NY Post, "It's like someone read a good newspaper and tried to write it down before they forgot it all."

Maybe Fletcher doesn't realize how weak this makes him look. Tony was in his head, probably kept him up at night before playing him and yet now that he can't get embarrassed by Romo any longer he starts flapping his gums.

What I don't get is that after the game, Fletcher went and found Romo and gave him a hug.

I mean, given the world of hurt Romo was in and the stakes of that game (win or season is over)...and then the epic 4th down, game-winning TD pass, you would think Fletcher would be cool.
Backstabbing dog.

Well Romo is just a universally hated player....by fans(lot of our own) and even players alike. He's not a trash talker or doesn't do anything wrong off the field, during game time he gives more than his all yet he will always be hated.

Though Fletcher is from a rival team so I wouldn't call him a backstabber and dogs are loyal and caring animals...Fletcher is honor-less bacteria.

Tony Romo gets more hate then Mike Vick.

Tony Romo never spent years torturing animals.

Yet he gets more hate.

Vick has let down multiple teams.

Yet Romo gets more hate.

Pretty sad comment on so called fans.

I think it is jealousy. I always wondered if he had been a 1st round draft choice, and a Heisman Trophy winner, .. if people would hate him so much.

As it is, being an undrafted FA, people are jealous because they don't think he is good enough to have earned what he has.

If only Tony had a good back. We would have beat Philly with that one last drive to win the game. I pray to God his back doesn't get in the way this year.

You may be on to something. Since he's at the top of the QB chain without being a number one from a prestigious school, maybe they think he doesn't deserve it. Maybe they think it should be them. Maybe they think "I went to the best colleges, I worked hard, I played for the best coaches ... why can't I have what he has?, why isn't my likeness in the opening graphics on NFL Network (LOL)".

The tweet just echoes what many think. That he is a choker.

That is a label he is stuck with.

Whats that have to do with anything? The topic is in reference to a ( former ) Commander talking smack about Romo & pointed out that Tony made sure the Commanders weren't even in contention to make it back to the playoffs. Someone always has to bring it back to THAT garbage, even when it's not necessary.
