Just CHILL: Texas safety Earl Thomas will not be among the pre-draft visits

Texas safety Earl Thomas has been a popular choice on mock drafts to be the Cowboys pick with their 27th selection in the first round of the NFL draft. It makes sense because he is a ball-hawking safety in the mold of Ed Reed and the Cowboys have an obvious need for a playmaker at the position.

And while it still could happen, it must be noted the Thomas has not been invited to the team's Valley Ranch headquarters for a pre-draft visit along with other top national prospects this week. Thomas' does have a full dance card with visits already made or set up with the Dolphins, Jaguars, Titans, Steelers, Patriots, Seahawks, Chiefs and Chargers.

The Cowboys did spend time with Thomas at the NFL Scouting combine in February.

We all know certain prospects are not brought in because a team has seen or know all they need to know. It's not a smoke screen, nothing needs to be read into it. It just is what it is. If you spent the last 12 months researching the new Ford Mustang do you really need to go down to the lot to kick the tires one las time before buying it?

Jerry is not taking a WR in the 1st round,

I think if Dez falls to 27 Jerry pulls the trigger but I dont think it will be a quick and easy decision.
