This actually bodes well for his prospects of being a Dallas Cowboy.

We didn't invite Felix Jones or Mike Jenkins to Valley Ranch.

I'm an NBA guy before a college guy, so we won't go there :p:

But come on, the Nets!? Might as well go to an NBDL game.

I would watch two chipmunks hump in a sock before I watch a NBA game but to each his own.

I would still watch it before Soccer though:D

Hey guys, thanks for talking football.

I'm guessing there is no real reason to bring in a guy who has practically been playing in the backyard. I'm wondering IF we trade up for him, could we get away with sending next year's picks in the deal.

The fact that you admit to going to watch the Nets speaks volumes about your sports fandom and/or knowledge.

Seriously? Why would you subject yourself to that punishment?

Don't knock him too bad... besides, you didn't notice his picture of Lebron taped on his TV screen? It might block some of the picture, but he is just trying to envision the team when Lebron comes aboard next year. :D

Owned? Really?

You went back 10 years and could only muster 8 names - most of which are solid at best players?

Well duh, not EVERY player to come from a particular school will be a bust in the NFL. But as many players as the University of Texas puts into the NFL each year, I'd say 75% of them fail to live up to their draft hype, draft status, or general expectations.

BTW . . . the next thing you should try to own is your "shift key." It might help convince others that your posts aren't being written by a 12 year old.

I don't put much stock on whether a prospect came to Valley Ranch or not when it comes to making the selection. Like many others I think Thomas will be off the board at 27

And in your link it has us getting Mike Iupati.

Everyone keeps saying what they know will happen and who we have 1st round grades on. We dont know ****.

And when you make contradicting definitive statements 6 days apart about the exact same situation you come across like a know it all blow hard. Which is it? Is Jerry going to take a WR in round 1 or not?

Actually the closer it gets to the draft we do start to know ****. Happens every year.

Honestly, with the exception of maybe Miami, most schools have busts. To pinpoint only Texas is rediculous. They do have their fair share of solid to pretty good NFL players in the league right now. I think Jamal Charles has a bright future ahead of himself as well. Not to mention that this group of Texas players is better coached than the program earlier in the decade of the 2000s.

I've never been impressed with him but last year he started making plays. He looked Chris Johnson esc at times.

Of the 22 draft picks from UT since 2006, 13 of the players have been solid values at where they were picked. Compare that to the supposed “goal standard” University of Miami, and 10 of 18 players taken since 2006 are solid value picks.

Texas Longhorn Draft since 2006
2009 1 13 Brian Orakpo DE Washington Commanders – 11 sacks good pick
2009 3 81 Roy Miller DT Tampa Bay Buccaneers – played in 15 games, getting 1 start. Totaled 2 sacks. I would call that solid value for a 3rd round selection
2009 4 105 Henry Melton DE Chicago Bears – Didn’t play last year, will call that a bad selection for now
2009 7 211 Chris Ogbonnaya RB St. Louis Rams – played in 2 games, getting 11 carries for 50 yards. Sounds like good production from a 7th round DP.
2008 2 53 Limas Sweed WR Pittsburgh Steelers – Has yet to do much, poor choice
2008 3 73 Jamaal Charles RB Kansas City Chiefs – Over 1,100 yards, and 7 TD’s last year. Not bad production for a 3rd round DP.
2008 3 91 Jermichael Finley TE Green Bay Packers – A beast for Green Bay last year. Great pick in the 3rd round.
2008 4 130 Tony Hills T Pittsburgh Steelers – Second team LT, but has yet to play. Questionable pick in the 4th round.
2008 5 151 Frank Okam DT Houston Texans – Has yet to produce in 2 years, poor pick
2007 1 19 Michael Griffin FS Tennessee Titans – A Pro Bowl FS, enough said
2007 1 20 Aaron Ross CB New York Giants – Probably the Giants best CB, enough said
2007 2 39 Justin Blalock G Atlanta Falcons – Started every game the last 2 years for the Falcons. Nice pick in the second round.
2007 2 56 Tim Crowder DE Denver Broncos – Been a solid player in the league, but not 2nd round quality
2007 4 102 Brian Robison DE Minnesota Vikings – Been a solid backup DE for the Vikings for 4 years. Not bad value in the 4th round.
2007 5 147 Tarell Brown CB San Francisco 49ers – Got 4 starts and played in 16 games last year after playing in 15 games in 2008. Solid value in the 5th round.
2007 6 183 Kasey Studdard G Houston Texans – Started 14 games for the Houston Texans last year. Great value in the 6th round.
2006 1 3 Vince Young QB Tennessee Titans – Enough said, poor pick
2006 1 7 Michael Huff SS Oakland Raiders – Enough said poor pick
2006 2 48 Cedric Griffin CB Minnesota Vikings – One of the Vikings best CB’s. Good pick in the second round.
2006 3 86 David Thomas TE New England Patriots – Solid backup TE for several teams. Decent value in the 3rd round.
2006 5 141 Jonathan Scott T Detroit Lions – Has 14 career starts in 4 years. Not bad for a 5th round DP.
2006 7 226 Rodrique Wright DT Miami Dolphins – Has not done much, poor pick

Miami Hurricane draft since 2006
2009 6 176 Spencer Adkins LB Atlanta Falcons – Played in 5 games, and is a 6th round pick, decent value
2008 1 31 Kenny Phillips FS New York Giants – Looks like he should be a player if healthy, solid pick
2008 2 50 Calais Campbell DE Arizona Cardinals – Started 15 games and had 7 sacks last year, good pick
2008 3 71 Tavares Gooden OLB Baltimore Ravens – Started 12 games, but had 12 tackles, but 3rd round solid value
2007 1 24 Brandon Meriweather DB New England Patriots – A player, good pick
2007 1 25 Jon Beason MLB Carolina Panthers – A beast, great pick
2007 1 31 Greg Olsen TE Chicago Bears – Bears best TE and receiver, good pick
2007 4 120 Baraka Atkins DE Seattle Seahawks – Has yet to start, and did not play last year, questionable pick
2007 4 127 Kareem Brown DT New England Patriots – Has played in 1 game, poor value
2006 1 31 Kelly Jennings CB Seattle Seahawks – Solid played, but has not consistently started in 3 of 4 years. Poor value
2006 2 35 Rocky McIntosh LB Washington Commanders – Good player, good value
2006 2 44 Sinorice Moss WR New York Giants – Has not done much, poor value
2006 2 57 Devin Hester DB Chicago Bears – Great returner, still learning to play WR decent value
2006 3 66 Eric Winston T Houston Texans – Started every game each of the last 3 years, good value
2006 3 89 Rashad Butler T Carolina Panthers – Has yet to start a game, has only played in 2 of 4 seasons, poor value
2006 4 110 Leon Williams LB Cleveland Browns – Didn’t play last year after getting a few starts early in his career, questionable value in the 4th round.
2006 4 133 Orien Harris DT Pittsburgh Steelers – Only played in 4 games last year, questionable value in the 4th round.
2006 5 154 Marcus Maxey CB Kansas City Chiefs – Only saw action in 2 games, poor value in the 5th round.

lmao, Scott would be honored to know that base don his Mock we now know what every NFL team is going to do in April. Cancel the draft, Scott did it for everyone.

Anyways, for those with a ounce of common sense.

We all know certain prospects are not brought in because a team has seen or know all they need to know. It's not a smoke screen, nothing needs to be read into it. It just is what it is. If you spent the last 12 months researching the new Ford Mustang do you really need to go down to the lot to kick the tires one las time before buying it?

I would, but that's just me.

lmao, you are clueless to how this process work.

Like a baby, why cant you always stay so cute and innocent. Oblivious to the world trials and tribulations.

Damn I need to alert the masses that the draft is not fluid, once you make a decision you must stick to it!

darn it all!!!!!!!!!!!!

It could be that he will be invited with the group from TX which will not count against the 30 number.
