Elliott, he is gonna take reception touches from people too. I expect him to account for between somewhere between 1500 to 2000 total yards if he plays 16 regular season games.

Dez touches the ball maybe 5-8 times a game. Zeke will touch it twenty. And unless out of bounds is the result of the play, Zeke's rushes will keep the clock running.

This isn't even a debate.

pretty pathetic..

McFadden also could touch it twenty or Morris. If given the chances.

Is this a serious question? Lol

Look at how bad our passing game was last year without Dez vs. how well we ran without Zeke.
Romo being out was a bigger loss than being without Dez. And I wouldn't say we ran all that well. Our 2015 rushing offense looked nothing like 2014. If it were even close, we'd pass on drafting Zeke 4th overall.

Yeah but the thing is, having Dez out there while he's getting double teamed will create opprotunities for Beasley, Williams, etc.

So Dez will get his 5-8 touches but Beasley might get 2-3 more. Same with T-Will. Just Dez's presence alone is extremely valuable. I don't think the difference is huge between Dez and Zeke, but I'd give the edge to Dez. Zeke is gonna be great, no doubt though.

With the expected improvements within our WR core, I'll say Zeke. We won't have to rely upon Dez as much as we have in years past. We will rely heavily on our running game.

By improvements, I expect a nice year by Beastly (has improved every year), Butler (2nd year in offense), and even Williams (contract year). Witt (old reliable) will put out his usual steady production.

Zeke will average 4.5 ypg too. Thoughts?

Dez and it's not even close.

If Zeke were to go down, you still have Morris and McFadden. If Dez does down, you are left with Beasley and Williams as your starting WRs.

No thanks. The fact that people are actually suggesting a rookie TB is more important and vital to this team than a vet WR who when on can be a Top 5 WR is both laughable and pathetic all at the same time.

This. Dez is more important. We have good Rbs who can get the job done

This really is a tough one. My first inclination is Zeke all the way. But as you mentioned when you look at the line and Alfred Morris in the wings you have to figure that the run game wouldnt suffer much. Maybe some bigger plays and passes out of the backfield to Zeke would suffer some. But overall, I think the run game would still perform top 5 in the league. So in that regard, I might lean towards Dez. Although we saw quite plainly that without Romo, Dez cant get it going. Tough call all around.

Dez by a mile, he's one of the best in the game

I think you are going to see quite quickly that this offense is going to center more around Zeke Elliott than anything else. Barring a major injury, it will be Emmitt Smith squared. Maybe with a little more speed and bigger plays.

I say DEZ.....a properly used DEZ. Nothing makes me sicker than to look at halftime stats and see a stat line for Dez that reads.... 3 targets, 1 reception, 8 yards.

I hope this is the year that they line DEZ up all over the place. In motion, slot, wing, wide, the coaches need to figure out a way to make this happen. If they do this, Dez will be the man.

So what is better

1) Zeke + T Will

or

2) Dez + Morris/DMC

I say option 2
