Dez and it's not even close.

If Zeke were to go down, you still have Morris and McFadden. If Dez does down, you are left with Beasley and Williams as your starting WRs.

No thanks. The fact that people are actually suggesting a rookie TB is more important and vital to this team than a vet WR who when on can be a Top 5 WR is both laughable and pathetic all at the same time.

 Because someone disagrees with you, their thoughts are laughable and pathetic? Newsflash: no one made you reply to this thread that starts off with "Just for fun" in the title. ;)

This. Our offense will be run-first. Not only will it open up the pass, it will protect our fragile quarterback.

No one is arguing that our offense won't be run first, I don't think so anyways. In this scenario, we are assuming Romo is playing. If Zeke, goes down, there are capable RB's behind him. If Dez goes down, that will allow the defense to stack the line to stop Zeke and make our bad WR core beat them which I am not sure they can do without Dez.

I stick to my original post.......Dez is more important in this instance :D

With the expected improvements within our WR core, I'll say Zeke. We won't have to rely upon Dez as much as we have in years past. We will rely heavily on our running game.

By improvements, I expect a nice year by Beastly (has improved every year), Butler (2nd year in offense), and even Williams (contract year). Witt (old reliable) will put out his usual steady production.

Zeke will average 4.5 ypg too. Thoughts?

As much as it pains me to do so, I'm leaning towards Dez. Behind Zeke, the Cowboys have a few guy's who could carry the load; perhaps not on his level, but enough to get the job done. Behind Dez, there is absolutely no one who demands an opposing defenses attention like Dez does.

Bryant by a lot. They can still have a well above average rushing attack without elliott.

It's pretty laughable that people think a rookie TB who has never played a NFL game and is backed up by a 1,000 yard rusher last year and a very competent Morris is more important than a Top 5ish WR who has little to no depth behind him. And no, there isn't a lot of depth behind Bryant. Williams is barely a serviceable #2 WR, Beasley can be inconsistent and Butler is a complete unknown that I think people are overrating.

Why are we playing this game of which player is more important? We need Zeke and Dez to be a real threat.

I would say Romo! But between the two I would say Dez because we have such a good line that Mcfadden or Morris will still do well.

I have to say Dez due to the gap between him and the other wrs. I think EZE will be amazing but I like our other RBS also, not nearly as much, but more than Twill and company.

Dez touches the ball maybe 5-8 times a game. Zeke will touch it twenty. And unless out of bounds is the result of the play, Zeke's rushes will keep the clock running.

This isn't even a debate.

Just because he might touch the ball 5-8 times, doesn't mean his impact stop there.

Allowing teams to not load the box or scared to blitz is a huge impact.
