Can anyone say............"Marcus Spears."

Spears isn't close to Davis' level yet. You don't see Spears get blocked one play, then completely dominate his blocker on the next play. When he's motivated, Davis is one of the most dominating players in the league. Spears isn't.

I don't think we should make any posts that have both Petitti and Davis in them, honestly I don't think Petitti could carry his jock. This guy is big but he's chiselled if you look at the pics. Wow is all I can say, best looking lineman we've seen around here since what the 80's, maybe LA back in the day..

The thing i don't like about the LD haters is, because some NFL guys drafted him to be an all world franchise LT and because he's turned out to be a very good G it's his fault and he's underachieved? I've read things from AZ coaches and media that say he was a darn good G his first couple years. Maybe he was scouted wrong and overdrafted? Not his fault(see Greg Ellis)

There was an interesting quote about Davis by Edgerrin James in this week's ESPN magazine --

"Leonard is so big and, at times, the game is so easy for him. He can do whatever he wants whenever he wants -- when he sets his mind to it. He comes to work every day on time, and he takes care of his body. He's like Shaq -- he's bigger than everybody; he can bully everybody. If somebody gets him on one play, then the next play he'll pretty much maul them. If you watch film, you don't see him get beat back-to-back. His weakness is he's too relaxed at times. Things come easily, and he'll take it easy sometimes."

Very nice to see that. I hope they get that focus worked out. We've got some quick and talented DTs in our division, and some creative defensive minds. If he's slacking, they'll exploit it. I'm liking just seeing him so far, though.

You rarely see anything approaching that, with Spears.

If nothing else, we'd better be calling the freakin' QB sneak most of the time on 3rd or 4th and inches.

I sure hope everyone is correct on Davis, I really do.
I went back and watched a Dallas/Arizona game from 2 or 3 seasons ago and Davis was playing Guard. Now let me first say that Davis just came back off a ankle sprain and missed the prior week or 2,

BUT

OMG - Glover abused him, I mean really bad. Everytime Davis's name comes up I just can not get that out of my head. I sure hope it was a one game coming back from injury kind of thing.

I wish Flozell wasn't out left tackle; could you imagine Davis and Flo at the Guard/tackle spots respectively?

Only problem is Flozell is overmatched at EVERY position on the line so my idea is redundant.

How happy do you expect the man to be when he looks like that; I mean for chrissakes the guy was 6'0 plus, 200 plus pounds in like the sixth grade... When everybody on the playground including your teachers know you could kill them I think that ends up hurting your outlook on life.

Man, when I read he was 6-6, 366, I figured he had to have some serious fat on him. He hardly has any belly at all in that pic! He has the face to match, too. Wow, player is a real dude! He could go bear hunting with a switch.

Really gets me excited about the possibilities of this offensive line. I think he is happy now that he is in Dallas, & that he will kick some serious a**. He did it for years in Texas, and was an alternate Pro-Bowler as a Cardinal, so it's not like he hasn't played well. He just hasn't met the incredible expectations placed on him, especially in Phoenix. I feel he will meet those expectations in Dallas.

We may be looking at 2-3 Pro-Bowlers on the Cowboy's offensive line in 2007.
