I saw Romo up close after a game last year. He signed LOTS of autographs in the freezing rain (so did MBIII, Sam Hurd and Ken Hamlin). Anyway, there was this woman who put her hand out to him and said "Touch my hand." Romo kind of laughed and kept signing autographs. Then she said it agian, "Touch my hand." This time she seemed even more desperate. Then she said it a third time. Romo looked kind of uncomfortable at that point, but kept signing autographs for all the sane people in the vicinity. It was funny, actually.

Romo was the only player accompanied by security because the people were going crazy. Then when he was on his way back to the team bus, everybody started shouting "MVP! MVP!" Romo just walked away with a very humble look on his face. What a cool guy.

Yeah, but Romo is so cool about everything for good reason...

A lot of players come out of college and everyone starts worshiping them straight out of the gate... they have always been expected to be great.

Romo on the other hand was this nobody on the back of the roster who when spoken of, people said, "Tony who?"

So I think for him, it's all a lot of fun, and he's real humble about it.

He went from back of the roster nobody to the next great one dating Jessica Simpson. I'm sure he's just blown away by the whole experience.

I didn't ask him about his golf game today, but I did tell him I had a feeling that this is the Cowboys year and he said he had the same feeling.

This statement makes my day...Thanks, dude.

For the most rabid Cowboys fan, it can't be topped. But what if I told you I was also making memories I'll never forget - she said her boyfirend would rather play golf or football than indoor sports! So we played, and I scored... :) Top that, I dare you!

Hostile was talking about reality, not your fantasy world.;)

Tony is three shots off the lead and currently in 4th place(three are tied for 3rd)

His dad did not make the final cut and will not be playing today, but he will hang out with the fans all day. I am heading up there soon so if there are any Wisconsin fans, it would be worth your time to stop by and see Tony. He tee'd off at 8:20 am and should be at the 18th hole by 12:00pm. He starts his signings directly afterwards.

Oh yeah, I made the local paper this morning. It shows Tony signing my hat while still on my head, and includes a shot of his autograph on my jersey. I have ordered a color copy from the newspaper of that shot. I will post that as soon as I get it.

Hopefully, I'll have more pics to show you today...... the word is out and I expect a much bigger crowd today. There were only about 30 or so Cowboy fans there yesterday.

All you Wisconsin fans, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so I hope to see you there.

OK....I'm back.

I must say first though that Tony loves his fans. He was on the front 9, and the course guide came over to tell us that Romo was going to straight to the clubhouse after the 9th hole and eat some lunch. He stated Tony would not be signing autographs until after the next 9 holes at the end. As Tony finished the 9th hole, the guide quickly drove Tony's cart up to the green to pick him up. Tony refused the ride and instead asked us to walk with him from the 9th hole all the way down to the clubhouse signing auto's and taking pics. He said fans first, food second. That was awesome. He again stayed until all fans were taken care of.

I talked briefly with Tony's dad and told him we at CowboysZone are all behind him. He really jumped up when I asked him for a photo for our forum. I am the only one who took his picture. I told him everyone at CowboysZone wanted a closeup and he jumped out the cart, took his hat and glasses off, and smiled big.

I told Tony thanks for his great play and everybody here at the Zone loves him and appreciates him. He wanted to tell you all here that he really appreciates that. He shook my hand again and said "Go Cowboys"

I'm off to the Wisconsin Dells now, so I'll be back in a couple days.

This has truly been two very special days and I'm happy to share them with all of you.

First, I hope Tony had the opportunity to sign the brunette in the first pic above...I'm sure he could find an appropriate area.: Wow.

Second, that is a great story, and I'm very thankful you've shared it with us. Great pics too.

Sweet! I know some people in Wisconsin who know some of this relatives and they say he's real down to Earth when you meet him.

By the way, I love that shirt he's wearing, lol.
