Just say it "I'm just pissed because my friends who aren't Cowboys fans have been giving me a hard time all day - I even had to take my oversized #1 Cowboys finger out of my cubicle at work because they kept teasing me. Waaaaaaa."

Campo, Gailey and Switzer couldn't hold Parcells' NFL jock.

Given Jerry's ability to hire moron "puppet" head coaches... I think I'll stick with Bill.

Parcells is not the man - he has the team wants and they are on the verga of a total meltdown.

Have you guys forgotten how awful the Cowboys have been over the past several years?

Parcells is retooling a team just a year removed from 6-10. At least we are in the playoff hunt with a defense full of young players with three years or less experience.

You want short-term fixes? Look to free agency like the Commanders did a few years ago.

You want a long-term powerhouse? Follow Parcells' plan.

This team isn't/wasn't going to advance to the Super Bowl and wasn't going to win it if it got there.

Yeah, we got blown out. So what. We blew out the Eagles.

Life goes on.

To those who say Parcells isn't the guy for the job, who is? I might not know as much of the intricacies of football like some of you given I grew up in a hockey culture, not a football one, but I know that I have enjoyed the last three years (less so last year) of Cowboys' football more than the previous three when we were out of it by October 1.

We might not make the playoffs but at least we are still playing meaningful games in late December and other than yesterday, we are in every game we play (could you say the same about Campo's teams?)

Nice post... Let's not all turn into a bunch of 49er fans and jump from the highest places at the sign of a challenge. Bill is proven, the guy won with Quincy Carter, he can coach. These things dont happen overnight and we have a lot of young players to develop.

I like Parcells and his attitude after this last game. No, all is not lost. He understands that this was just one of those games that you can't do anything on either side of the ball. There is not one team in this league that is 100% consistent and this is the first game we've played this year in which we had no chance to win.

Long live the Parcells era I say.

Let's not get carried away and go on a Parcells-witchhunt. Yes, I do think Parcells deserves the blame, but mostly for relying on sub-par coaches like Payton and the OL coach (Spurano?) who never coached the OL before outside of hgigh-school. Even payton has a Jeckle-and-hyde play-calling style. Anyone here remeber how he lost his job coordinating the Giants several years back for calling games similar to ours?

Yes, It's time to upgrade the coaching staff, but let's not include Parcells in that. There are alot of areas Parcells has already upgraded so let's give him more time to continue. Even early in the year he was quoted as saying "we've got a lot of problems here". So it's not like he wasn't aware of this team's shortcomings. It's just that injuries and undeveloped talent have kept him from being able to hide those problems asny more. Let's give him time to fix those first.

I still support him, I just dont know if I totally trust in BP like I once did. I can get over some of the lack of personnel because it does take some time to do that.

However, virtually the entire offense needs to be overhauled minus Witten, and maybe Barber and J Jones.

About Bledsoe, no matter if you like him or not he will not be the QB around when our young defense hits their prime. I would like to know who that is going to be.

Lets break this down. BP took a team over that was horrible and lead them to a 10-6 season and a playoff game. The following year He buys the groceries, wiley, drafts peterman and several other unmentionables and said he felt good about the team, He raves about the team he was building and they end up being terrible and he cuts all of the DT's he loved. He then says he was wrong about those players and promises a change. He has a very strong draft to build up the 3-4 defense, can't take away that from him

Let's take a look at our players, Al johnson= horrible, gourode=horrible, Rivera=horrible. decides we don't need to fix our fs problem and decides to not get veteran help at RT or LT. Keyshawn= plays hard( lost a step) witten =(not used effectively the real deal,(glenn =only threat down field= double coverage)

Zimmer, Payton, Dehaven, soprano they SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BP's refusal to open up the offense and remain a running team that can't run.
BP= prehistoric, 80's style giant football, refuses to change with the times!
Good GM one day, hopefully not here! hopefully in detroit or with the texans

Please take this man to task, he continually says you are what your record says and his record says he is not the man. Honestly he has not got the job done! bring in an innovative head coach not afraid to leave the 80's behind and is willing to kill teams that he dominates and puts his team in the position to win the tough ones!

You know there is a "rule of thumb" I heard once about coaching and coach changes. You can't make up your mind on a coach until he's been given 3 full years to operate. BP is at the end of his 3rd year. Even if we lose out and finish 8-8 this year, BP will be .500 as the Cowboys coach. This is coming off of how many 5-11 seasons? To say that he hasn't gotten the job done is crazy. If nothing else, he's gotten us a ton of talent, and gotten us out of the cellar at least 2 out of 3 years. (Heck, we were even in the playoff mix last year, as pathetic as that is). "BP is gonna be fine"

The only thing we really need to go over is Bill Parcell's decline

Giants 2 SB wins
Pats 1 SB loss
Jets AFC loss
Boys year 1 -- 10-6 one and done in playoffs(didnt even show up, like last sunday)
Boys year 2 -- no playoffs
Boys year 1 -- ?

The above are all facts.

The Eagles stink this year, yet they should of beaten us without TO. The division was ours for the taking this year and we're looking at a 2nd or 3rd place finish. Think about it, who's got better stats, Eli Manning or Drew Bledsoe, yet the Giants are better than us cause Bledsoe is an 8-8 qb who doesn't win games. We have better overall talent now, but we played better in 2003. Parcells has done nothing but screw up the personnel since 2004 began. We played better when he didn't have 'his guys'.

You still don't get it do you. We were 13-10 in Carter's last 23 games and Carter is 15-11 in his last 26 starts and we're 14-16 without him with a more talented team. Carter has outplayed Steve McNair,Kerry Collins,Jeff Garcia,Drew Bledsoe,Vinny Testeverde in his short career. It wasn't just Parcells in 2003, it was the combination of Carter and Parcells together that made the thing work. Why do you think he came to Dallas in the first place and elevated Carter to the starters job when he could have signed other qb's. He'd been watching Carter from the broadcast booth for two years and knew he could play. Think about it, he was a genius when he had Carter and now his teams underachieve without him. It's not very hard to figure out. We have much more talent now, yet struggle more. Carter made our OL seem much better than it was because of his mobility and NFL defenses knew that his big arm gave us a threat to score every time. Why do you think that NfL defenses went after Carter in the second half of the season;they didn't fear Hambrick and didn't respect our receivers;the Carolina Def. coord. said as much after we beat them.

Too say our overall talent is not better now than in 2003 is an overstatement.....NO! it's a ridiculous statement.

My concern is how long can we expect some of the better talent too perform at a level we expect from them.
