1. Did not think beating St. Louis would be that easy. I was confident in the win, but I thought the Rams were pretty flat themselves. There were some dropped passes (by the Rams) that the Cowboys do not usually get.

2. Kudos to the offensive line and the running game. This does not change my mind that I believe Dallas still needs a blocking fullback. We will see if the running attack becomes more consistent.

3. Congrats to DeMarcus Ware for being the all-Time sack leader for the Cowboys. Most of us figured that this was the eventual anyway.

4. Six sacks by five different players: Ware (2) Scandrick, Selvie, Wilber, and Hatcher. Diversity will make this defense better.

5. J.J. Wilcox: I was surprised that the Rams did not test him more. Philip Rivers will not make that same mistake. It was so disappointed that the interception by Wilcox was taken away by the penalty on Hatcher. At first, I was upset at Hatcher for the penalty, but that was an aggressive penalty. He was trying to block the pass, and unfortunately hit the QB. Regardless, I do like the young safety combo of Church and Wilcox. If only Matt Johnson could stay healthy.

6. With the injury to Austin, I would expect Beasley to take the punt return duties as Harris will be counted on more as a receiver. We will have to wait and see.

7. Sean Lee remains to be fairly quiet. I wonder if the transition to the Tampa-2 defense is causing him to do more thinking than reacting?

Rewatching the game Lee was actually very active. He did pick up the loose fumble and run with it. Also was around in a lot of tackle piles and a few almost sacks. I just think we have so many guys swarming now he doesn't stand alone as much as in the past. He hasn't made a lot of big splash plays but he has been solid. I anticipate a turnover from him in the SD game either an INT or forced fumble or sack fumble. Book it!

I thought Sean Lee was pretty active as well. He was always around the ball and made some run stops. He has been solid but not spectacular.

Yes, I actually thought it was a very good game by Lee.

I thought Lee played pretty well too. If all 11 defensive guys play "solid but not spectacular" on a consistent basis, we have the makings of one heckuva defense folks. The mental mistakes have killed us in recent years. 9 focused minds won't do it. You need all 11 dialed in at the same time. Kiffin and Marinelli are perhaps building something special on the defensive side of the ball.

Nice thoughts btw Manster. Thanks for sharing.
