Just start with Elliott

is that the same Zeke that dropped a pass for a first down, the same Zeke that stepped out of bound and then caught a ball for a TD that was called back and was that the same Zeke who had a great gain and then fumbled it away....he's also a big part of the problem!
Zeke also blamed himself for the loss. There has not been a Cowboys player in years actually holding themselves accountable. If anything, it is stupid to only give him 16 carries in a game where he could have made a bigger difference. Zeke’s problem now is that no defense is scared of Dak’s passing or the WRs and TEs, so they can stack the box and use everything they have to stop Zeke.

Give the man 20+ carries a game. Start there, he is used to the whole team being in the box. Get him rolling and play action. Use the RPO, that’s what Dak is used to. Slow him into the pocket. Designed roll outs. Don’t make him a sitting target.

JG and Linehan is so hard headed and set in making him a pocket QB in 1 or 1 1/2 seasons that they will lose games. Or get him killed.

Just saying. How about get this Offense cranked up and get them some confidence. Let this O-Line eat.

You're talking about two dummies who find the running game "boring". Guys who no matter how many times they learn the lesson, or how many times they're told, or how many seasons they actually have success when they did use it, will always refuse to commit to running the football.

I swear sometimes, they call stupid run plays on purpose. Just so they have an excuse not to use it by having one failed attempt to point out. Like the one in Seattle this weekend. A 3rd and 1 rushing attempt as rare as a solar eclipse and they're trying to bounce it outside?!?!? But hey, they can now point at it and say "we tried!", right?

If opposing defense can't do it (and Seattle couldn't), the Cowboys coaches will.

Opponents only have to wait for the Cowboys to not run the ball because eventually, it will happen, no matter how successful.

What ya call that thingy? Read option?

Everyone calls it the RPO, pretty sure Collinsworth said it a million times, but to me it's not - the P stands for pass and Dak never (as far as I can remember) throws a pass off of it. He's just running a read option where he either hands it off or keeps it and runs himself.

Maybe I just don't understand the RPO.

The most consecutive runs zeke has had in any game is only 2 back to back carries this season.

He’s averaging 5.7 YPC and leading the league in rushing while Dallas is 25th in rush attempts.

Without the best center in the league.
Without a top 70 WR/TE.
With the 28th ranked passer.

And we run it 16 times per game.

No you’re right. The read option and RPO are much different plays.

Honestly, with our offense and Dak’s skill set , they should be running RPO’s much much more. IMO.

But our coaches suck so....

Yep........and the same Zeke that got suspended for 6 games last year and ruined our season.

Same Zeke that has been ineffective in the first half of games this year.

The same problem started 2nd half of last season, actually. The Denver game fully exposed Dak and the OL. Then this team recovered a little bit. Atlanta game and after, the offense was never good.

Bro. I don’t get why. They had no problem last year or how about the rookie season. Let the big dogs eat for a game.

So....we should use our only offensive weapon more?

We fire him and hire me for half price. 3 mil a year and I will call the plays. There is only 8 of them to choose from.

That's how I know you're not qualified. If you think because a play goes to the right instead of to the left it counts as two plays, you don't know what you're talking about.

Read pass option your right. It’s more of a read option. I don’t trust him to pass off that. Lol...

Hmmm like last season. 1st and goal and they wanted to totally fool them by passing the whole time. Never game it to Elliot once. Probably a TD if they do.

Yes.

And the same idiot who allowed the same RPO issues in the red zone from week 1, happen the same way in week 16. Despite the fact that he claimed the first time that things would be corrected going forward.

15 weeks later and the guy, and by extension, the team, learned nothing and were making the same, exact mistakes.

And this year as well, even after bringing in a new receivers coach and teaching better routes and route running, as soon as the season starts, it's right back to the same vanilla plays and routes. Forget that they're able to do much more.
