What job is that? Sounds good at this point.

911 Dispatcher in a suburb of Dallas. Pretty slow right now so I have time to browse the boards.

Would be perfect, except for the Dallas part, and of course actually having to work from time to time.

Does it afford you the chance to go to most games ?

All kidding aside, That's a lot of responsibility and could potentially be a very demanding job at times. Kudos to you for having the courage and heart to do that type of work.

Honestly? I haven't been to a game in over 10 years. A combination of expense and time. It's weird. I'm about as big a Cowboys fan as you could find and I live in Dallas, but I just watch them on TV.

This kind of job, really, is just like any other. The first little while it can do a job on the nerves, but you get used to it and it becomes second nature in a way. You can't always predict what's coming and occasionally you'll run into something you haven't heard before or someone will be so emotional talking to you, that you can't help but get worked up, but really, you get used to it.

That first part would prevent me from signing up for the job.

I understand what you are saying though. At some point, you have seen so many situations that you almost become numb to all of them. At that point you just wait to see the outcome and even that doesn't surprise you.
