two plays. On 2nd & 10 at their own 25 with 30 seconds remaining they run a screen to montgomery. It was wet up nicely to coincide with or zone blitz, however this is his play to make. He could've blown it up or at least forced the action back inside to the flow of the defense. Montgomery gets 15 yards and out of bounds. Huge.

And on the fatal play: Durant was the delayed rusher . And even with a 10 yard running start and all the open space in the world he ran like a magnet to the lone blocker and he could've went wide and forced Aaron to throw before it was ready or to scramble more and probably get sacked and go to ot and we win.

I guess I hope Next year this is jaylon smith on these plays. Bc these were really weak efforts

Bc even if you keep Montgomery in bounds they use their time out there and the rest of the play calling is totally different in both sides. If the heath sack still happened theoretically then they'd have no timeouts and you'd defend them differently. Knowing the sideline is their only option.

So many things had to go their way for the game to go their way... heartbreaking really. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes and take the next steps next season.

Rodgers purposely ran behind the blocker on that play. It's how they designed it. If Durant goes to the left, Rodgers just goes to the right, and vice versa. The only choice for Durant is to initiate contact and then react.

On that 3 and 20 play he could not run until Rogers move outside the pocket. Rogers got the ball and took a few steps straight back holding Durant(the spy). That also gave the blockers time to move in position- then Rogers rolled out and threw the pass to a wide open Wr. Durant can't move until the qb moves, simple as that!

Yes he was a goat but only because he does not have playmaking ability. He did his best, though.

Durant was arguably the best LB not named Lee when he was healthy. What does that tell you?

Definitely noticed how slow he was getting to Rodgers. All I was muttering was "where's the hold on Irving" "get to him" "get to him" "get to him" "**c* get to him!"

Jesus Christ people. They lost AS A TEAM. With the exception of Zeke and Dez, almost every single player made or missed a play that cost us the game. Dak, Lee, Butler, Jones, Irving, Lawrence, Brown, Mo, all of them. They could have done better and they didn't. The need to try and pin all of this on a single player is short sighted and, quite frankly, stupid.

Yea he certainly made the best decision to get totally blocked head on. But I think his second best choice should've been to attempt to get past the blocker and force the qb off his spot

See what you want.

You're wrong on this one though, he did his job fine.

No need to hope. Next year it WILL be Jaylon and the difference will make your hair stand on end.

But Durant has to stay in the middle until Rogers commit either left or right!

Yeah I would have ran around the blocker outside shoulder to force Rogers to move back inside- but Durant seem to run directly into the blocker. I never understood why defensive guys block. Durant should have been attacking!
