Justin Herbert

I rather have Lock from Missouri. He's a more Polished product right now.

I know Herbert is your guy, and you can end up being right about him, but for me, this is a very weak QB class.

Also, the draft is loaded at D Line and it may not seem like it right now, but next year, D Line could be a very big need for us.Lawrence and Irving are free agents. Who knows what we have in Gregory. The Front Office missed on Ealy and Ward. That leaves us with an overpaid Crawford, Taco, and a bunch of unknowns.

They will pay Tank if theyre moving on from Dak in 2020. And Irvong will take less money because of this suspension. And we have 65 mil in cap room this year. Plus with how much dline talent there is in this draft youre better off taking the top end talent at a weaker position and taking the smaller dropoff in the second. Id rather have Herbert and One of the leftovers in the second @ DE or DT. Or take Taylor Rapp and solidify our secondary more. If we reisgn Irving and Tank, we have Collins and Gregory and Taco and Armstrong Ill feel comfortable with them being our Dline core with a safety as the pick

Safety is also very weak this year. Draft an elite player, don't focus on the position (unless there's a very good QB available).

Will need to check out Justin Herbert especially in big time rivalry games this season, I haven't heard of this kid until someone brought his name up in regards to draft eligible QBs for 2019. His highlights look good but the most of that footage was against PAC 12 bottom feeders like Oregon State, Washington State and Arizona.

My first choice at QB is Will Grier who I've seen step up in big time games and can spin it. Other than that, I'll pass on QB

If Dak stinks this year you have to get serious about a massive trade up to get a franchise guy.
Most important position on the field by a mile. Never seen a team give up a ton of picks for a franchise QB and regret it if they get a good one. Sure you can whiff but if you don't have a QB you don't have a team.

Herbert has am amazing skill set, one of the best I have seen in a long time. For me he is hands down the first pick overall at this point. not sure why people are under-rating him so much.

Above average:

Size
Smarts
Poise
Accuracy
Arm Strength
Leadership
Toughness

He has the whole package and QB's with that talent go first.....every time. I just hope it's not the Giants.

I like him a lot too. The one worry I do have with him is projecting how he”ll transition to a pro style offense, but that can be said about 98% of all college QB prospects. He has all the tools.

I don't think it's that big a deal considering the spread and shotgun sets in the nfl now.

Herbert looked good against Stanford which is the only team in the pac 10 that plays defense. Sign me up.

I’d take Grier off the board. Never take a QB will visible tattoos. Shows a tendency of bad decisions.

Herbert is a guy we should target.

The good news is some of the worst team already drafted the QB they want. At the rate we're going a top 5 pick is all we need. Oust Garret and co, get new coaches, draft a QB who can throw, sign ET and DLaw.

if this crap show continues...we wont have to trade up for a QB...and most of the teams with us in the top 10 already have a QB...we'd have the pick of the crop...Justin Herbert,Oregon.

They way we are playing, we are landing in the top 10 for the 2019 draft. I'd be OK to mortgage the future for this QB.

Where in that field of teams do we fall? Because if we are worse than the Giants I feel pretty comfortable that we are first in line for Herbert barring a trade up situation.

I think you missed a few teams, my man. Added them for sake of the convo.

Bills - QB Josh Allen
Raiders - Carr (2 picks) (You NEVER know where Gruden's head is at. If Carr isn't a 'Gruden' guy then...?)
Cards - Rosen
Colts - Luck
Lions - Stafford
Browns - Baker
Seahawks - Wilson
Jets - Darnold
49ers - Jimmy G (? How bad is his knee and are they concerned about his future?)
Commanders - Smith
Giants - Eli. Could take a QB.
Dolphins - Maybe take a qb? Too many holes to guess
Bucs - Winston. Maybe take a QB to move on.
Bengals - Dalton
Chargers - Rivers (Could i guess?)
Panthers - Cam
Titans - Mariota
Ravens - Flacco and Jackson
Broncos - QB needed
Cowboys - QB needed
Crapsburgh - Rapeburger (Definitely looking for his replacement)
Patriots - Brady (ALWAYS looking to add talent @ the QB position and especially now with Brady over 40)
Rams - Goff
Bears - Trubisky
Packers - Rodgers (Isn't getting any younger and he's a walking x-ray. Hundley is NOT the answer)
Falcons - Ryan
Texans - Watson
Jags - Bortles
(Is he holding this team back from getting to the SB?)
Chiefs - Maholmes (Consider me JEALOUS)
Vikings - Cousins
Saints - Brees/Bridgewater
Eagles - Whatever his name is

We can end up in the top 10 ( with some trade) and draft him not many teams this year in need of a quarterback. He is that good.

I think if we get in the top 10 this year, no trade up needed. Giants might pick him up, but I suspect they'd rather build that line for Saquon first. Just a guess. I'm not sure how I feel about picking him up though. We really need WRs, more OLs. TEs and a DT or two wouldn't hurt.

The errant throws from Dak kill me. Color me conflicted.

I’d keep an eye on Haskins at Ohio State as well. He may come out if draft grade is high enough and has looked solid.
