Pulled a back muscle running the 40 with my 5 year old so I've been sitting on the coach watching scouting videos.

What's the feeling on this guy? I like him. I am not saying we should take him at 17 (although I wouldn't be upset) but he's got good size, good speed, seems to have really good hands. Two good years of production and LSU seems to put quality WRs in the league.

I like him more than Reagor or some of the other guys and probably would have him slotted with or just behind Ruggs.

Being slept on for some reason.

Would be more than happy if we took him at #17 since he killed in the slot last year and has proven he can play outside.

Probably has the highest floor of all the WR's IMO.

Kid is an absolute beast. Does everything well. Would be a perfect slot guy for Coop and Gallup. Good luck covering that.

Sadly, he ends up in Philly

He was average when playing outside. Dominated when moved to the slot.

He is a lot less polished and less plug and play from guys like Lamb, Ruggs, Jeudy. Will have to be in the scheme that allows him to work mostly from the slot.

With that being said .... Love the kid and would love to draft him.

Would be an outstanding slot guy here. Productive as hell the last two years. Really like the player, but can't see the Cowboys pulling the trigger.

As much as I hate to see him go to Philly, it's not like he's going to have Burrow throwing him the football. Wentz can't hit anything other than a tailback or a TE. He'll be no more than a 1st round decoy in the city of brotherly love.

He is getting slept because some people are talking about hin being a slot WR. He is not. He can play any WR position

Agreed that he’s much better in the slot than outside, no argument from me there. But I think he’s got the traits to win outside even though he was average at it in ‘18.

if the Cowboys don’t think he can win enough on the outside I don’t think he’s in play for 17. Can get slot only guys on day 2 or 3.

Brugler has him as the 4th WR.

I think Chris Simms has him as the 2nd best WR.

Similar height/speed to Jeudy but Jefferson is about 10 pounds heavier and more physical. He does not have the freak change of direction like Jeudy but might be better than Jeudy in some aspects.

More of a typical outside WR in the modern NFL than Ruggs.

Jefferson does not get talked about as much by fans and pseudo media because he does do anything freakish.

I've heard that Denver loves him, may just take him at 15 and not risk losing him in a trade back.

Perfect slot guy. Great skills. Will improve a team immediately. Thought he’d drop to second being a slot guy but, as others have said, he’s Wanted

Lamb
Jefferson
Jeudy
Ruggs
Aiyuk
Reagor
Mims
B. Edwards
Pittman
Shenault

That would be my top 10 of this class

What a WR class this is. Jefferson put up like 1500 yds and is the 4th ranked WR.

My personal favs are Pittman, Reagor, Van Jefferson, and KJ Hill.

Three of those guys are kids of former pros!

My favorite receiver and would fit perfectly here in the slot. Move outside if and when one of our current receivers move on. Worth every bit of #17.

Be careful. Running the 5 with my 40 year old would be more my thing!

Jeff seems to be the consensus #4, and yep, as previously mentioned, Simms has him behind only Lamb.

To me, there are SO many guys after the top 3 they seem interchangeable. Its CRAZY how much depth is there.

That all said I think Jefferson goes between 17 and 51, and wont be on Dallas. Even on a deal down, I doubt he is the target.

The last time I made my first round grades, I was torn about whether I should make him my 4th first round graded receiver. The big question I have with him is, can he play outside? Based on height-weight-speed alone I think he can, but LSU kept him in the slot all year and their coaching staff was the furthest thing from stupid.

I can't really justify spending #17 on him if he's going to be a slot guy. For boundary receivers, you need an athlete, but slot WRs are some of the most fungible players in football. They have a free release and a two-way go, so any guy can rack up some catches there. Justin Jefferson is much more talented than your Cole Beasleys of the world, but I can't pass up guys like Javon Kinlaw or K'Lavon Chaisson in order to get him. Those are players at positions where you need to be a premier player to win.
