Kaepernick personal sacrifice for a cause reminds me of Muhammad Ali who placed his career and freedom in jeopardy. And of course the more polarizing image of the two athletes holding up their arms in black gloves during the National Anthem of the Gold Medal ceremonies at the 1968 Summer Olympics.Thats an image which has stuck with me since I was a teenager.
If these protest continues to gain traction which its appearing to do with more Stars joining like half of the Browns team in last game it will gain more attention and eventually force the NFL to a more decisive adjustment or threaten to lose viewers if it doesn't just fade away as they had hoped .
With the tensions mounting in mainstream it's difficult seeing this just fading away soon especially with the activist getting involved as depicted yesterday outside the NFL headquarters. Goodells decision which of course represents the NFL decision is to support these players rights despite our personal differences which is legally the right decision despite the bashing he and the league will continue to receive .
