It's easier to find a good RB in the mid rounds than it is to find a WR2, hence why WR2 has to be our #1 priority in Round 1, even if we trade down in the 1st round in order to receive an extra mid round pick (preferable option since we currently have no 4th round pick).
I wont exactly be mad if they end up going RB early (although its not my ideal situation) or a value pick if someone falls unexpectedly out of the top 10, but there are a few really good WRs that would be tough to pass up this year. Unless they address the issue in free agency early this offseason I'm thinking WR will be the pick.

I haven't studied this WR class, if you have, how do you think the top guys stack up to last year's group?

A legitimate #2WR is a must find this offseason and should probably be in play with the Cowboys 1st round pick this year. Its so much more difficult to play offense when your pass game goes through 1 player.
A #2 and a #3. Cooks is a free agent and likely not returning. Tolbert is ok as a #4 and Turpin is a very good gadget guy you can fill-in as needed. The rest are wasting roster spots.

Good question and Ill have to say my answer right now isnt complete. Seems like its not nearly as strong with elite consensus top 10 guys like Harrison/Nabers/Odunze last season, but that next tier seems to be really good and deep enough where you could probably get a contributor in round 2 depending on what you wanted in a WR. I think Travis Hunter is more of a DB prospect than WR, McMillan is probably the only plug and play X WR I see right now so I have to believe he is an easy top 10, maybe top 5 pick, but probably the only true blue chip WR.

Isaiah Bond seems like the ultimate boom or bust guy whose career may end up determined by where he ends up. Emedke Egbuka I really like, but looks like he may be limited to the slot. Luther Burden I would take in a heartbeat but looks like he may need some developmental time to me. Tre Harris seems to lack that high end WR1 ceiling, but would pair very well with Daks style almost in the form of the prime years of Michael Gallup.

There are some other like the Ayomanor kid from Stanford that seem to be sneaking into some mock drafts in the 1st round, but I dont know enough to really comment on.

The beauty of having a terrible season is often times you can go BPA in the draft, because the team has demonstrated numerous roster holes. We can easily go WR, LB, RB, or dline.

This time, I disagree. WR is too big of a need. We saw that yesterday.

Jerry gave a 4th for a player he had a 2 on.....I don't see a chance we draft a WR where you want to. Even still, if you don't have a running game, you have no passing game. Even still, if you don't have the coaching, it won't matter who you have at QB or WR......look no further than Da Bears

We showed what we could do without Lamb. It was fairly ugly.
what is the outcome somehow drive the perception around here? they actually came out moving the ball well, really most of the day it was the turnovers or lack of execution ire 3 drive killing Tos ie inside the RZ ie a pick 6 vs a FG or 7 for us, imagine up 10-0 d is playing well to start, I believe the D let up got down and said the O keep putting us in bad situations so be it!! , some not on the same page qb/wr issues which happens when you are down stars..

i believe this game would've been different without those early turnovers.it was headed in the same direction as the Washington game but the O coughed it up not really as "ugly" as it seemed using the outcome as barometer... in my opinion it was shaping up to be a good battlebut he team gave up major letdown with all the tos and mistakes.

Aye, what was that, lol.
Somebody in the building needs to evaluate better before parting with 4th rounders so easily.
The one person making that call will take an extra-long look in the mirror... and then continue making braindead moves.

"checkdowns" tells you all you need to know. It's right in front of you. One read/quick read is for a rookie QB, not a veteran QB or veteran backup that is getting all the reps.
On the other hand, our WR group doesn't scare any opponent, outside of Cee Dee. Our WR doesn't get an acquittal.

As far as one read/quick read......watch the Commanders' Jayden Daniels. Their offense all season is predicated on such. But Jayden Daniels also can run and throw a deep ball.
On the other hand.....Caleb Williams........Chicago has him trying to scan the field with a bad OL, and some college "hero ball" scrambling has resurfaced, resulting in the complete opposite of Jayden Daniels' success. Caleb Williams can run and throw a deep ball too.

Cooper is short of arm strength and moving around. It's been a shame our fanbase has anointed him because of team record during his starts. He is what he is. Take Cee Dee out with coverage or shutting him down due to injury protection will showcase the checkdowns further. Commanders' secondary isn't top tier......let's see what happens next game......surely, they know the checkdowns are coming.

I get that, my thing is how come he didn't adjust, WRs are supposed to track ball...seems like he gave up.

Nah, it's not about fault, you have a backup QB and young WR trying to find his way in the league, so it's not a big deal. However, when the ball is in the air, go get it, and maybe I saw it wrong, but I didn't see an effort to claim that ball.

Get a WR with our first round pick, that ship sailed when your boy got his 60 million overpriced contract. What we need is to continue to invest in defense bc offense is on his shoulders for next four years. That means no you don't get two first round wr, you get one first round(ceddee) and a good number 2. Dak is expect to elevate those around him, that means he better find some wheels, learn to progress through his reads, and figure it out..tgats what comes with that big of a contract. Defense needs be invested in and need a run stopper along with LB asap
