I'm reading between the lines here, and what i think he's really saying is we know our offense sux, but we're still going to play defense to the best of our ability. It's good because it means they haven't quit just yet. How long they can maintain this attitude is unknown. Micah has to start making a massive impact again and can't be taking weeks off. The other players have to also do their best every week. If we have to depend on the offense the game will be over before it started.

They are not a great defense. I am not even sure they are a good defense. They have issues and teams that exploit those issues score points. Remember, the Cardinals used a backup QB to beat Dallas.

What worries me is the number of times we see wide open receivers for big plays. How Does Kittle get open 3 times against them? The Cowboys blew coverages on all 3 plays. Good defenses don't let that happen.

Not that this team is made of that kind of stuff, but the 1970 Cowboys lost a midseason game to the Vikings 54-13 in Week 5, and topped that with a 38-0 shutout loss on Monday Night Football to the Cardinals in Week 9 (a game where the fans starting chanting "We Want Meredith", to which Dandy Don said on the ABC broadcast "No way - you're not getting me out there."). It has been done before, but I don't sense that level of resilience in this team.
