Keenan Allen to Cowboys idea

Why? So Dak can not get him the ball when he's wide open too?

Do you have any idea how often Gallup and Brown were "wide open" this year?

Just enough to rank towards the very bottom of the league in separation.

How is he going to fit on the training table here, when LVE already occupies it?

PASS. Too much cost, getting older. Not the speed guy or RAC guy this offense needs

ALLEN, resign TY, then we have a very nice wr core. A huge upgrade over what we had in 2022.

I've seen footage of plays where they were wide open.
Separation rankings are like 40 times. It's not your 40 time in so much as can you get open. And even 4.3 guys can't get open in the league, whereas 4.7 guys can.
In the NFL, unless you're Tyreek Hill, you're going to maybe have a step or two on a defender.
That's why the quarterback has to anticipate a throw and get it there.
That's why the quarterback gets paid the big bucks and the receivers don't, relatively speaking.
Dak can get it there sometimes (when he's getting the Great Wall of China protection). But other times, in critical moments, he's not consistent in making those throws.
Throw it to T. Hilton instead of forcing it to Lamb on a deep play during the 49ers game, and we're likely headed to the NFC Championship Game.
No, I stand by my statement.

Always hurt. And now old. No thanks.
Often injured and high cap hit. Just how we like them!!!
Cant stay healthy.
Missed 7 games this past season, so that's a fair criticism for 2022

But in 2021, he missed 1 games...not a big deal

In 2020 he missed 2 games...also not a big deal

In 2019, 2018 and 2017 he missed a combined 0 games

So prior to this year, he missed 3 games in his last 5 seasons

The point is on average they are covered well, much better than most starting wrs.

Yes he's absolutely missed guys, like every other qb in the league.

It's unrealistic to expect any qb to thrive when his second and third options are ranked 120th + in separation CONSISTENTLY.

Which is why I'm happy to see KM go, that and Dak is here for a couple more seasons minimum so I'd rather attempt change than keep doing what we are doing. It's also an example of why we need more talent. CD didn't even finish in the top 25, yet Cooper was 11th.

From 2017 to 2021 he played in 16 games other than 2020 where he played in 14. 2022 is the first season he played in less than 14 games since 2016. He had back to back knee injures in 2015 and 2016 that ended his seasons early, but before that, he played in 15 games and 14 games.

He's been relatively healthy for a very long stretch.
