I am happy with what we got in the secondary and hope they stay healthy.

The Jets got hit hard at the CB position today. Milliner couldn't put any weight on his foot and they lost CB McDougle (3rd rd pick) to an ALC tear. They have Dimitri Patterson who is also hurt right now and then Kyle Wilson, Darrin Walls and Ellis Lankster. I'd be tempted right about now to shop Webb around and see if the Jets were willing to give up say, a LB or DL. I'd shop Sterling Moore too if he wasn't banged up. I think we (and the Jets) saw what was available in the CB market with whoever those two CBs were that we trotted out there against SD. Not much at all.

I don't see anybody trading for Webb or Moore.

Moore was out of football half of last season and nobody else signed him.

CB - OScan, Claiborne, Carr, Moore, Mitchell

S - Church, Wilcox, Hamilton, Heath, Dixon

I'm not so much down on Webb as remembering how we got killed by larger WRs last year. I think when the dust clears Moore and Mitchell are on the roster for that reason.

I just heard the Jets contacted Asante Samuel to see if he is interested. Injuries can make a team desperate. Ain't much out there other than Korey Lindseys and Johnny Thomases and no one wants to roll with that. Jets don't have much at CB if Milliner is out for a while. So, I could see the Jets trading for Webb or Moore.

Interesting. Bust for bust. I like it.

Although I do not think the Jets have Coples' replacement on the roster. They lost Cunningham to injury and if they deal Coples, that means they start Jason Babin.

Plus, I think the Cowboys are nowhere near close to giving up on Claiborne. He still has more excuses to run through.

I would give up Mo for Babin/Barnes plus a pick and a backup DB like Ras I Dowling right now. Cowboys need more physical corners to play Marinelli's 4-3 and Mo is a poor fit. Babin would immediately become the best pass rusher on the team, injured players included.

I'd be surprised and disappointed if we kept Webb over Mitchell. Webb has never impressed me since he's gotten here, and I think the coaches are high on Mitchell.

If Claiborne is a poor fit for Dallas because he is not physical as you say he is an even worse fit for the Jets.

Why? Claiborne is a man corner, Jets love leaving their corners on an island. Mo is a much better fit in Rex's scheme.

Webb and Heath are both substantially less than impressive. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they were both cut.
In addition, there's a good possibility someone getting waived may look better. Keep an eye open for that.

If any position needs extra players its the Dline.

An extra player or two will not help. Our d line is so awful we can only hope to contain offenses with adequate CB and safety play. and that means an abundance of DBs. trust me on this.
