Keep in mind we had a cupcake practice schedule this week

You guys blew it off when I posted it but it was reported the Cowboys had a lighter schedule this past week and no pads.

Even at that, the team had a poor enough practice on Wednesday that caused the head coach to speak to them about it but still maintain that cupcake schedule the rest of the week.

After just reading Jimmy's book it really sickens me how these players are treated today.

They played like they practiced. Go figure.

From the leadership, to the coaches, to the players, to probably even the janitors, this team is raised from a spoiled, rotten culture that only cultivates and accumulates losses for years on end. We narrowly avoided a loss today because the Texans imploded.


It was clear from the start the direction this team was going when Bike Mike announced a “shorter” practice and it shows. Just execrable all around.

Seems like every time a team practices soft in fear of injuries end up playing soft and getting injuries. The mental part of football is real. Treat them soft and they will be soft.

Most coaches like this type of win but they don't tell their players. It gives them an opportunity to rip into their team and point out all the mistakes. Instead the pat on the *** and ice cream from McCarthy makes you wonder if they learn from this. Remember Jimmy ripping into the team after they let up a few garbage time td's to the Vikings in a win? Now a days they would get ice cream and told how great they are.

This team is too soft to have soft practices. Heard there was some crying because Tyron Smith was playing too rough in practice, I commend Tyron for that. The HC needs to recognize this instead of the LT (Tyron) taking it upon himself to toughen up these dudes.

Practice was a bit shorter than typical. You want to jump to conclusions or mischaracterize that's fine, but the only thing we know is that is was a bit shorter.

I made a snarky mention of this let them rest coaching style in another post. And yeah, the whole comparison of Jimmy to Mike's leadership style as delegators never had any similarities.

I do not see the currrent McCarthy Way as a playoff winning mindset.
But again, I'm not McCarthy's biggest fan.

And I understand, opinions vary.
