Keep in mind we had a cupcake practice schedule this week

Yea, I predicted a blowout this game. Jacksonville is another game they better come prepared for. Lawrence is starting to play like they thought he could
Jax has a legit QB who can be amazing if he's allowed to get going. The way Micah has looked the last few games is not encouraging.

You guys blew it off when I posted it but it was reported the Cowboys had a lighter schedule this past week and no pads.

Even at that, the team had a poor enough practice on Wednesday that caused the head coach to speak to them about it but still maintain that cupcake schedule the rest of the week.

After just reading Jimmy's book it really sickens me how these players are treated today.

They played like they practiced. Go figure.
They had an intense practice on Thursday.

Heck, just checked the box score saw no sacks, thought in one thread people were saying 11 from Heaven would have 3 or more.

That is because your Head Coach is your owner and GM.

I didn't know this, so I looked it up.

Regular season/postseason rules

  • Limit of 14 padded practices during the regular season, 11 of which must be held during the first 11 weeks (club may hold two padded practices during only one week) with remaining three during the final six weeks.
  • One padded practice per week in postseason.
  • Padded practices limited to three hours plus a walk-through with position coaches not to exceed 30 minutes.
  • Bye weeks – four consecutive days off.
Source: NFLPA summary of main terms of the 2011 collective bargaining agreement.

And it absolutely makes sense that you don't go pads before playing the worst team in the league under those rules.

You play how you practice…so no surprise they played soft and we’re not playing with any urgency or emotion. This is a team that played soft tonight…we would have lost the game if not for that play by Lawrence to keep Texans from scoring a TD.

Just can't figure out why you have become the poster you have become. You have started posting tweets with your own click bait titles on this forum and you try to sow discord in every thread. You are a knowledgeable fan but nothing you post is remotely close to the truth but you continue to do so to appease whatever your secret agenda is. You are the biggest dick on this board and I don't mean that as a compliment.

Just talk football with the rest of us

You talk tough about being a man. A man doesn’t sit behind a keyboard all day for years and talk trash about football players or coaches he will never meet face to face. Just sayin…

Right. Instead he campaigns that everybody be taken off the field so they won't get hurt.

Now that's a real man.

You wouldn't last a round in sparring.

They’re only allowed a certain amount of padded practices during the year. Not enough to have one for every game.

Perhaps you missed where I said they had an even lighter than usual practice schedule this week.

Yeah I missed that.

Mike will soften the schedule this week, thinking he was too hard on them last week…Sorry Mike, there is no Rogers at quarterback to save you. Or at least I hope you’ve figured out that Dak is not a Rogers clone…

If we are really entering our usual late season slump where we become complacent and disinterested, perhaps the best thing for the team is getting knocked around by the Jags before facing Philthy. I still have nightmares about how listless we looked coming out of the tunnel last year against the 49ers, while the Niners came out dancing and fired up.

When you go half-azz in practice people tend to get hurt. This is why we had a rash of injuries during this game.

Yes. They use code words like "safe" and "smart" but it's really just weak and dumb.

Iron sharpens iron. This is a violent game played by men. Cowards need not apply.

Jimmy would be making them all miserable right now. The dude literally wouldn't let them eat on a plane ride home after playing poorly.

Agree and you see this in other sports as well. The Coach is not your friend. He is your boss. I also cringe when I hear coaches refer to their players by their nicknames. "Eye roll"

well, this is the camp cupcake team. Jerry doesn't want the boys tired.
You know just as well as most of us that is in the hands of the head coach who was so impressed with the Colts slaughter that he rewarded the players with light practices to possibly a fault. Also that 98 yard drive was not cupcake, neither was the defensive stand near the end of the game cookies.
