Keep This Offense

My thoughts exactly. Throughout that game, I kept having flashbacks to 2007. I've been secretly hoping that somehow, they could rediscover whatever made them the explosive offense they were in 2007, especially after watching how conservative the offensive gameplan was in the first 4 games. I don't know if this was the first time they finally decided to place their trust in offensive line (maybe not pure coincidence, considering this was Waters' first start) or if they simply thought it was the only way to keep up with the Broncos. Regardless, I hope they learned that it's something they need to keep doing.

Necessity is the mother of invention. They knew the defense would get torched so they went for it.

I just wish we kept up with that. Our OL is finally good enough to play that way. Romo had all day

But we'll talk our way into dink and dunk against the Skins, I'm sure. Or, we'll stop throwing to Dez and Williams and make our plan rely on Witten or Murray. There is no consistency in this team and what you get one week is often entirely different from the next.

Covering a RB is a sin in Dallas. Dontcha know?

It was a catch 22 with the RBs. When they covered them, Peyton just threw it up the seem to Julius Thomas.

I really hope they finally get that this is a passing league, you have to keep attacking down field.

ATTACK! that is the key

scoring is the key, you can attack all day, but if you dont cross the plane or kick the FGS *yes, dallas one a game kicking fgs* than thats the key. And keeping the foot on opposing teams necks when you have the lead.

Unfortunately, I'm worried of this exact thing happening, and it would be a crying shame if it did.

it will be interesting to see Sturm's passing charts for this game. I have a feeling there will be some lines in the middle of the field. Many of today's big plays were passes in the middle of the field, something that was missing all year long.

This offense was always here. Somehow, it was hidden from view when Romo had to follow Garrett's playbook.

Sad part is, for the past few weeks, the couch coordinators on this forum have been calling for some of things they did today . It took this coaching staff 4 weeks to figure this out.

easy to go downfield when you have time to throw and receivers are wide open.

Also the most logical.

Yeah, I keep forgetting about the ribs. This would make more sense than a bipolar game plan that doesn't fit the personnel at hand. At the same time, I'm also not going to claim I can properly diagnose Romo's injuries and what effect that should have on his game so I guess all we can do is see how this thing looks moving forward.

I'm not a doctor either, I'm just saying it adds up.

My sense was it wasn't about playcalling, but rather:
a) Romo is recovered, and
b) Pass protection was better than I've seen it been in forever.

.

True but in every loss this year the RB has be crucial catching the ball.. Chargers 9-95 2td..Denver 9-99.. KC 10-86 1td.. 5 games and we've basically gave up 500 yards 3 times so far. Cant imagine what Bush, Sproles, Forte, and Shady will do.
