Heh, the Ticket guys were talking about that this morning... They said it's against NFL rules to put anything up like "Make Noise!" on the stadium screens during the game, so before the game starts they have something like Keith saying to get loud when we're on defense. Then during the game, they do the "Remember what I said" thing to get around the rule.

I was hoping someone at the game would tell us exactly what it was saying before the game, though.

Right before kickoff, They had a video of brooking.

the first time they did it was sunday against the Commanders.

It was about 2 and half minutes long and it was Keith brooking urging the crowd to yell, scream, cheer and make noise everyway possible to help the team. He said we need your help, we want to have the biggest home field advantage in the league and we need your help.

He then said its 82000 of us and then looked down and pointed and said against 11 of them.

So throughout the game on the third downs they kept flashing the Remember what I said graphic on the screen. And it worked.

Also I would like to add, they have changed all the scoreboards in the stadium and on the video board, all the info is now right in front of you.

they also have a huge graphic now urging the crowd to be quiet.....it says shhhh quiet offense working.

the brooking one is great though.

This is good news. I was just telling my friend the other day they need better crowd interaction. Very good news.

the best part is that he is real animated and into it!!!

In 04,05,06 they used to generate the energy by intercutting cowboys highlights with movies.

I think the deal they had licensing the movies must have run out. Alot of those were really good too.

But nothing is better than brooking.

Can you provide more detail on that? I remember that being a bit of a pain at the one game I went to this year.

It would be far better if the crowd didn't need to be urged to get involved, but I"ll take crowd noise however I can get it.

I have never seen a guy (besides some QB's) go to a team and become so influential so fast.

I'm not going to another game until the last one, but I'll make a point of trying to video the message at the beginning of the game.

I have never seen a guy (besides some QB's) go to a team and become so influential so fast.

From an overall standpoint (not just on the field production) he's the best FA pickup this team has had in a while. He brings an attitude and fire to the team that I haven't seen anyone inject. He can still make plays. mind you but it's the fire that he brings that makes him such a wonderful addition. This team hasn't lacked the talent required to win a championship for atleast the last 3-4 years. We've had the talent, just lacked the heart. Brooking brings that. Brooking is what we hoped t6hat we were getting with Zack Thomas last year. Thomas, being a gentleman and humble, never really stepped forward and provided the leadership that we had hoped he would bring. Brooking, on the other hand, stepped in with complete respect for the guys who had been here and basically filled the lack of fire from the present group. He didn't ask for it. He took it. He noticed a void and filled it. He's done it with attitude AND production. I wish we could have had a chance at this guy 3-4 years ago.

Haley was a great pickup. He was the missing piece to a Super Bowl defense. but his contribution was a lot more production oriented.

T.O. was a good pickup. To come to a team like the Cowboys with some of the great receivers this team has had and produce more TDs in a three years stretch that any of them is remarkable. Once again he provided nothing beyond the on the field production.

Glover was a good pickup. Got him for dirt cheap and he had the misfortune of playing for some terrible Cowboys teams, but it doesn't diminish what he brought as an individual.

Other than Haley, Brooking has been the best guy at the best time for this franchise in recent memory.

That's pretty cool. I like that move. I like Brooking more and more every day too. He's a great leader for this team.

So league rules permit the board asking for noise but do no permit the board from asking for silence?

You have it backwards, but yeah. You can ask the crowd to shut up but you can't ask the crowd to go bananas. At least not directly.
