I have never seen a guy (besides some QB's) go to a team and become so influential so fast.

It's wonderful, but I can't help but wonder what the heck Atlanta was thinking when they let him go. The guy is still a playmaker. Big time. I don't know what kind of stats he had last year, but maybe he is rejuvenated with the Cowboys and being back with Wade Phillips. Whatever it is, I'm glad we've got him. Talk about leadership...

Brooking seems to have that Irvin-like intensity...and I love it! The attitude, confidence, and swagger the defense is playing with can be directly attributed to him, IMO.

Atlanta didn't necessarily make the wrong move. Brooking has been replaced by Peterson (formerly of the Jaguars) who is making a decent impact on the Falcons as well. It was just time for them to commit more towards the future. I do believe that Brooking has been rejuvenated by being reunited with Phillips and I think that has made an impact on his level of enthusiasm and comfort level. But, honestly, I see were Atlanta was coming from.

I'm just glad that we were the beneficiaries.
