KM is the coach JJ wanted Garrett to be. We cannot let him leave Dallas. He needs to take over as HC here.

Give him a gigantic raise and promise him the position is his after MM’s contract is up. Letting him leave would be a huge mistake.

He and Dak are simpatico. KM is the future staring JJ in the face. Hopefully he gets the memo lol

The NFL is littered with the carcasses of ex offensive and defensive coordinators elevated too soon to handle Head Coach duties

The Cowboys simply need a time management specialist to assist McCarthy in time management as Choom Choom Fatty Boom Boom simply hasn’t mastered that one skill.

well, maybe maybe not....some times some coaches are just meant to be coordinators and they excel at it...and as head coaches they struggle. quinn is a great example. Wade Phillips was another one....perhaps if as HC he also takes on play calling duties (along with game management but that's additional responsibility).....we would need to have a strong DC and special teams coaches to have Moore move into a HC position.

In full respect to the censorship on this Board....."Kellen is the greatest OC ever, and I can't wait until he becomes the HC."

He is gonna get a shot to be a HC— and frankly— he deserves it. To your point though— he may fail. But he also may excel in the role.

The only question is whether he should get his shot in Dallas or somewhere else. He has the support and offensive personnel to succeed here— is he willing to wait three years for McCarthy’s contract to expire?

I don’t hate McCarthy— but I would hate watching Kellen succeed somewhere else more

maybe if he waits another couple of years. my concern is it took him about 3 years to get to this stage as an OC. we still don't know all of him as and OC, given he has a lot of weapons and he has shown he can use them. but can he be a mcvay with Goff as QB and pull out some wins. can he be Reid and win some with Smith at QB.....and plus, much like any other NFL head coach, there will be a learning curve....and he has to think, that as a HC he will end up on a craapy team and has to rebuild. so some of the shine will come off immediately.....so a bad team with their future QB on the roster is his best shot. if he is smart, and if jerry is smart, jerry will throw a lot of money at him to keep him here and then in couple of year transition from Mcarthy to Moore.....and he will be able to lead the most valuable franchise in NFL for at least a decade.

Considering how horrid MM is, that shouldn’t be a problem.

I am sure that has crossed Jerry's mind. Losing another possible Sean Payton to another team. That would be Jerry's worst nightmare. I feel he knows it and understands he will have to do something after this season to try to keep KM here. KM/Dak relationship could become similar to Payton/Brees.

I have concerns about Big Mike’s decision-making but don’t hate him.

Kellen is a great coordinator. If he ends up being as good a head coach then the Cowboys would be set for a very long time.

Or maybe he won’t have the same success. That’s the dilemma of course.

Being a great OC or DC doesn’t make you a great HC
Lots of really good coordinators have failed as HC
Couldn’t agree on time mgmt

dude let it go theres like 6 threads just like this and all are WRONG..hes not the soon to be HC here

hes not ready hes green hes just feeling his way through the OC position. Maybe 2023 but no ones firing MM over season like this so he stays as oc in 2022 or leaves im sure jerry can sweeten the poit make him more rich add asst HC to his title and lets see how 22 goes..

again MM has done great job so far this year and hes being fired LMAO you all are flat out insane..

if he chooses to walk vs be patient guess what he cant take our weapons.

try putting a team together like this where you go to be HC and OC play caller for the first time and then be responsible for building a team and expected to have an offsne just like this LMAO..good luck..

what i do know is MM can call games hes an offensive HC and has called the plays for all his teams until he came here..dont think for minute alot of this playbook has been merged with his own and he can run this offense full of weapons if KM decides to leave.

i doubt that happens but make no mistake MM is an OC by nature and can call plays form his playbook, you know this one..this is a collaboration not one man show..2019 KM sure didn't look like this in 2020 doesnt count but what different from 2019 ????

No we just need to pay him. Like a head coach and keep him right where he is. And then who knows in a couple of seasons. We cannot afford to lose him. But head coach, nope not yet
