Kellen Moore, halftime adjustments

Isn't it so amazing. How important halftime adjustments are. I believe the Cowboys are the number one third-quarter team in the league. I can't recall the last time we came out of the locker room like a different team. Like we know what we were doing.
This hasn’t happened since Jimmy, Turner, Zampese, during early and mid-90’s.

I’ve noticed too.

Moore is constantly adjusting in order to exploit the kink in the defenses armour. The way we line up, the pre-snap motions, mis-direction plays, rpo's, run options, etc are all setup to help Dak decide where to go with the ball quickly. Kellen's system allows him to constantly change, exploit the weakness/ favorable matchups and continues all game long outside of his initial scripted plays. Change the tittle to Kellen Moore, In game adjustments and you are spot on.

Until he gets fired it's ALWAYS about Garrett. Nice try at deflection, but you failed.
I didn't fail at anything. I may have flunked sandbox. But I got this right. This wasn't about Jason

So you guys make some stupid comment boosting about half time adjustments, get called on your stupidity, and since you can't back up anything with anything, you go on some type of rant. Good job.

Moore and the other coaches are doing a great job so far and plenty of adjustments are being made on both sides of the ball. And adjustments were made last year, and the year before, and the year before. But these little petty backhanded shots at Garrett are just childish. Why bring up halftime adjustments at all, if you don't have any clue of what they were or if any were even made. It's just a childish attempt to dig at Garrett. It's kinda pathetic actually.
Lmao. Says the ranting. LOL

I think the big adjustment was Dak not looking to the longball as much. As they started hitting the open routs underneath and Dallas run game.
that's true. Dak did say he got greedy in the first half and trying to go for the deep ball and not take what the defense was giving him....

So really, you guys don't know that any adjustments were made, but it sure sounds smart to say so. I get it. I just find it laughable, people harp on stuff like "half time adjustments" but yet don't know what the crap they are talking about because they don't know what, if any, adjustments were made at all.

Here is a hint, more adjustments are made during the game than at half time. There is nothing magical going on in the locker room at half time.
Well there is no way we can know what goes on at halftime, but Dak is perfect in the 3rd qrt this year, 158.3 for all 3 games.
So something is happening, to have him suddenly have a perfect 3rd qtr in all 3 games.
Explain that since you know so much.

Not to be a contrarian, but Moore's making adjustments BEFORE halftime.
Yep. The 2nd quarter has been just as explosive as the 3rd. In the 4th, we're just coasting.

TD by drive number
drives #1-#3: 3 of 9
drives #4-#6: 7 of 9
drives #7-#10: 3 of 9

Offensively.

While the defense has performed well, there has not been any major visible in-game adjustments by the defense. On the other hand, steady four-quarter defensive performance has worked well enough thus far...
I have to disagree with you so some degree here. You may have a point in the first week, but especially against the dolphins, they were a very different team in the second half. Maybe we can chalk that up to better execution, but we stomped them in the 3rd last week.

He told them all to put a double knot in their left shoe. Are you for real. LMAO

So again, it’s just a talking point with no real basis. Cool.

So the whole basis of your thread is that the cowboys are playing well coming out at half time and that must mean that the team is finally making halftime adjustments. Something Garrett has never done so it’s great to finally see it.
Currently the team is 2nd in 3rd Q scoring. That’s great and I hope they keep it up and I hope Dak keeps playing out of his mind.

But what about 2010, we finished 6th in 3rd Q scoring that year? Fluke or did Garrett know how to make adjustments then and forgot? Or the other 3 years we have finished in the top 10 in 3rd q scoring ? He remembered those years and again forgot the other years? See how flawed your logic is?

I know they discuss stuff and make adjustments at half time. Just like they do after every series. But it’s flawed thinking to equate the half time adjustments as being the reason. I am sure it helps but again there is no magical meetings and coaching going on at halftime.

Against Miami alone. Coming out in the second half. Did you not see the difference in the offense. Come on do I really need to explain it

Strategically speaking in the Miami contest, their was no real difference in approach.

The adjustment you speak of was increased focus and better execution. That's all.

Moore's done a nice job but the Dolphins game 2nd half romp can be directly attributed to Dallas deciding it now wanted to play its brand of football instead of trying to impress everyone.

As minor or extensive as you just mints made be make no mistake about it they discuss it and they make them. The think they go in half time and talk about chicken nuggets is ridiculous. That's what some people think

They said something like "get your collective heads out of your *****". That was the discussion. That's it. That's all.

We always come out as a different team at half time because the first team always flounders away the 1st half.

No I don't believe that's all I'm sure they're looking at some sort of film. LOL but some people would think that's it

Kellen Moore is too intelligent. I am positive, positive he comes up with something different. That's why we had the best third-quarter offense in football

I'm sure they make adjustments throughout the game but I am positive they come up with something different at halftime that they want to try somewhere in the second half. It would be naive to think they don't.
