Kellen Moore is horrible

Brad Johnson's last few years with Dallas was absolutely the worst arm I've ever seen in the NFL. I guess Brooks Bollinger wasn't any better than Brad Johnson's either. Jeez... What in the world was Garrett thinking bringing in those guys as backups back then. Smh
I agree Brad Johnson was the worst, Kellen Moore has played better, his game was subpar on Saturday. I would still rather have him vs Rush as the backup,Cooper has been playing against guys who will most likely not make the 53. To be clear I realize we can do better than Moore but we could also be worse.

Unfortunately, Linehan loves the guy and he's got lots of sway with Garrett. I think he's going to be the backup barring injury so
we better hope Dak stays healthy.

If true, I find that troubling. Linehan should go with whoever performs best.

Wasn't that the last game of that season?

Moore is a lousy QB, that is why he is a backup with no one bidding on his services. But most backup QBs in the NFL are and some guys that have gotten a number of starts are too.

But the criticism of him has gotten silly, like you see in other posts in this thread.

He's been in the league 6 years...? and so far a sophomore/4th rounder (DP) and an UDFA (CR) have outplayed him in consecutive seasons.

This is his 5th year but one was lost to injury and three were purely in a backup role.

Conner Rush hasn't outplayed him when it counted, its been two preseason games. And saying Dak Prescott outplayed him is something you can say about every backup in the NFL, every draft pick in the last draft and three quarters of the Starting QBs in the NFL last year.

He is just a sorry excuse of a QB and should be barred from every playing the game again, even in the park with his kids,, he does such a disservice to the term Quarterback. He is totally, completely, and entirely useless on a roster.

Thanks for proving my point for me.

Cooper Rush is outplaying Kellen Moore this preseason and making him look like a rookie. Kellen Moore is obviously not a NFL caliber QB.

Where is Floaty? He said once Romo was out of the picture Kellen would shine then blamed a broken leg for why he didnt. What will Floaty's excuse be now?

Moore was bad in this past game. He didn't handle pressure well and was off on several of his throws. In the first game, he completed more than 70 percent of passes for almost 200 yards in the first half.

How long has he been in the league? How many wins does he have?

You could have said that about Romo in his third season.

Again, I don't think Kellen Moore is good. or OK. But he is a passable backup in a league with almost no quality backups on NFL rosters.

I'm not saying he would start for any team in the NFL, I'm saying the people posting that Moore couldn't start for a Middle School in Abilene are taking things way too far.

We should keep Rush as the #2 to develop him and if he's not ready in the event of an injury to Dak.....

Before I make up my own mind how bad Moore was at performing his duties, I'd like to know how every other player on offense performed their responsibility. The entire offense looked out of sorts, not just Moore.

And yet Cooper Rush performed much, much better with even scrubbier scrubs helping him on offense than Kellen.

Moore looks horrible out there from a physical tools level. And as far as his supposed smarts about our system, who cares if he can't go through with the physical requirements to complete various plays called. He also does not seem nearly as composed and cool under fire than Rush, even with all that supposed knowledge.

Put him on the coaching staff if they like him so much, but he has no business as a QB.

I think if Cooper can continue playing as well as he has been or gets even better, then there is at least a chance he can overtake Moore, even though Linehan has puppy dog eyes for Kellen. One bad game though from Cooper and yeah, we'll be for sure stuck with Moore as QB2.

We've covered this already in about 12 other threads since Saturday. Not quite up to Zeke's Legal battles but getting close.

Even by that standard, Moore has been in the NFL 4 years (1 injured) and from what I can recall Moore has not looked close to someone as recent as DP did during last year's preseason. Keep in mind KM was playing the same level of competition DP played last preseason.

It's been reported that KM was penciled in as the starter when TR went down, then his leg broke. Fine, not entirely his fault but are you saying that KM would of remained the starter if he didn't break his leg?

Rush did look good but once again, what were the other 10 guys on offense doing? What were the coaches doing (with plays, formations, personnel packages) with both QBs?

Before I come come to the conclusion that Moore sucks --he did look sucky, by the way -- I'd like to know the answers to my questions.

I don't see how you can get that from my post, but to be clear - Dak Prescott played better than Kellen Moore last year. Dak Prescott played better than any backup QB in the NFL last year. Dak Prescott played better than 80% of the starting QBs in the NFL year (at least).

My point has nothing to do with Dak, its just that the people saying Moore is horrible are over the top at this point.

Kellen Moore is horrible. Cooper Rush is the #2 IMO right now. Certain people in high places just have yet to realize that.

we are stuck with moore this year no matter what. moore will be alright for one game if he has to play but after that we might as well be planning for the draft.
