I told you..

Moore was brought here from Detroit, because of Linehan. The decision to keep Dak starting was probably Garrett and Linehan, the latter primarily because of all the changes in the offense, the former because he was upset Romo had Jerry pull the offensive play-calling duties from him. I’m starting to believe the reason Jerry allowed it, was because Dak was cheap and it was justified by the 13-3 record.

Dallas has to retain Moore, because they couldn’t afford to change the offense for Dak. They’ve been on a “Dak-friendly” offense nonsense for years now and last year was supposed to be the fruits, but the misfortune is you don’t play the Giants with a retired safety who decides to come back 1 month before the season and Commanders every game, teams that basically constitute half of your passing TDsz

You sound crazy......only thing you got right was Moore was brought here from Detroit lol.

I have to concur, if I had to pick the biggest let down from Sunday was the offensive play-calling. Now, maybe Dak was looking off his first reads but no play action, very little throwing deep, no creativity. This isn't what we signed up for. If things continue this way, I suspect that Big Mike will be taking over the playcalling sooner rather than later.
By the Bye Week.

Or at the point where we are about to be mathematically eliminated.

Whichever comes first.

In 2018, the Panthers loaded the box on HALF of the Cowboys offensive plays.... The Dallas had to rush and get a WR, because they spent the whole off-season blaming Dez and making the offense “Dak-friendly”. Even Cooper’s performance benefitted from all this man coverage, while Dak completely blew against zone even with Cooper as attested to by the shut-out from the Colts. And Cooper has to tell Dak against the Eagles to throw him the ball on the outside, because the Eagles CB was sitting on the routes. Cooper bailed this guy out and Dak-stans have the audacity to blame Cooper for ‘not showing up on the road’ while completely ignoring how Dak was garbage and blaming his WRs when he was setting Dallas records in Quincy Carter levels of futility, despite the fact he has an OL and RG.

Defenses didn’t even defend Goff like they do Dak...

Even the argument about getting rid of Dez under Linehan was that the WRs were versatile and they could be moved around. Bryant’s route tree wasn’t that diverse and Witten basically ran the Y-route with Garrett. So this is just hogwash that these guys haven’t adjusted to Dak.

When Linehan was here, Moore was the middle-man who passed the plays onto Prescott. Garrett didn’t even have that role anymore. So the Garrett excuses are just that, excuses.. Stafford threw for 5000 plus yards and over 40 TDs in one year under Linehan...

https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/20...tt-kellen-moore-play-calling-third-and-short/

After three years as an NFL quarterback, Prescott still doesn’t routinely drop back into the pocket and throw the ball. He did it just twice against the Saints, twice versus Miami, twice in Washington, and three times in the season opener.

To put it another way: Prescott has 127 passing attempts through four games this season, but only nine have come after he dropped back from under center. That means that 118 of his attempts have come off play-action or from the shotgun (93%).

Imagine being an offensive coordinator and knowing that if you want to call a pass play that isn’t a wide receiver screen or quick slant, you basically have two options: use play-action from under center or have your quarterback start in the shotgun.

Smart offensive coordinators will obviously game plan around the strengths of their quarterback, but the flip side of that is offensive coordinators deserve some credit for disguising and minimizing the weaknesses of their quarterback.

And remember, this is from a coaching tree that LOVES the 5-7 step drop...

3 points in the second half? Sheesh. No crowd noise, and one of the best WR core? 3 points!

Moore put the offense into a shell in the 2nd half like we were up by 3-4 scores. First down handoffs to Zeke every time...ground and pound, there's a time and place for that but that wasn't it especially after watching how successful the no huddle passing game was working.

The no huddle usually “work” more often before half-time, because teams play off to not get beat deep. It doesn’t work all the time and in this scenario with the Rams, with limited time left you don’t have to worry about giving the ball back to the Rams. Like I said, look at the game logs from last year, even when our offense was struggling. Nothing new here..

play calling was inconsistent. too many runs on first down and then followed by predictable passes on second down. no pre-snap motion. what happened to that?

We should have stuck with the passes to the RBs. They had no answer for that, but we abandoned it. Why?

-Former Cowboys backup QB with very little talent
-Given an OC job way before he deserved it
-kept on as OC and forced onto new HC (Don't care what McCarthy says to the media
-Boring and conservative play calling despite being labeled as a “bright young mind”

I’m like 95% sure Kellen Moore will be the Cowboys head coach with in the next 3 years

Oh, so the new villain to hate here , eh ? yaawn ,who can be surprised.

- So irrelevant what he did as a backup QB vs what he is as a coach.
- Given an OC job before he deserved it ? LOL, as a rookie OC he gave us the No.1 league leader in total yards gained; 5th overall in Points scored
A huge accomplished for a rookie novice OC
- why would you not hold on to the NFL lead leader without forcing Dak into a whole new offense ?
- As a HC and overseer of the entire team, what has to be consider is going over with Moore in meetings/film room is how you help twink the offense
in things, area, down distance and situations that he may be missing. ..and it's a way to go about doing that with him,..and a wrong way to go about it
.
- yes for whatever reason Kellen has a tendency to go safe, conservative ON THE ROAD, and really open it up be diversed, deceptive and aggressive AT HOME
next week on our own grounds, i expect the return of the pre-snap motion, mulit-formations and RPO's vs ATL .. but there's a disturbing nick with him
on the road where he tends to turtle-shell it up. .. And we can't blame this on Garrett now , that's Kellen

At some point people will have to wake and stop saying we have great talent on the DL. We gave great talent at DE therefore the Rams ran on us up the middle and we got no push to get pressure on Goff

We don’t have a great DL
We have great DEs who will be negated against a team that can run and get the ball out quick
I'm not even sold on great DE. Lawrence can't handle a rollout, he always gets washed inside. His instincts don't seem to be great. Smith looks like a keeper though.
