Kellen Moore on offensive performance

I rewatched the game. Dak's pocket was clean on most passing plays. He got into trouble when he felt pressure that wasn't there and ran into the D-linemen. He also had several chances to run for big gains, but held the ball and made poor throw. This crap show was ALL on Dak. No way to sugarcoat it.

Yep, these guys are wallowing in excuses. The pass protection for Dak has been much better than the trash many QBs generally face on a regular basis. Dak doesn't know what to do when he has to go through his reads, which is why he starts to "feel pressure that wasn't there". This was in his scouting report and it still exists today. He can't process worth a dime.

Let's shop him around. This team is so afraid to go back to 5-11 that they are not willing to take risks. Rams got Stafford and got a Ring, Tampa got Brady and got a Ring.
He has a no-trade clause though. Bench him so he wants a trade.

Moore is Garrett 2.0. Jerry sold him as some genius. Reality is the guy sucks. The guy is a goober. Not a leader of men. Also just a garbage play caller.
Moore is light years better than Garrett and it's not even close. They don't run anywhere near the same type of plays.

Pass block win rate is a completely idiotic stat, as it is based on a subjective 2.5 second sustaining of the block. It says nothing about the play design, meaning if the play is designed to get out quickly, then the number is absolutely meaningless. We all know Dak is an early read QB.

The Bears in 2019 were a complete cluster F on OL, but they were 13th in PBWR. Why were they so high? Because they threw plenty of screens, meaning after they showed they couldn't pass, the HC decided to implement a short passing game to get the ball out quickly.

Guess what the Cowboys did when ANdy Dalton came back from the bye and they started to win, despite the fact the OL at that point in time had shelved Zach Martin and was a real cluster F? He had the 4th quickest release in the NFL.

I don't think either Dak or Moore suck, though Dak certainly did in this game.
One of the worst performances I've seen from a supposedly elite QB (along with some of Wilson's games this year).
And Moore was not much better. Jonathon Allen was out, and they had Ridgeway and Payne in the middle a lot, so we tried to run right at their size, with 2 of our 3 interior OL men playing new positions to them. That is just ill advised.
Washington has an elite DLine (even without Allen), and we played right into their strength.
Try to run in the middle against their beef, and set up 3rd a longs where they pressure Dak into poor decisions (which we all know Dak will make under pressure). Where were the quick hitters to CD and Pollard? Even quick hits to the TEs?

I've always felt Moore does not utilize our playmakers as well as he should. I know Pollard and CD are both going to the pro bowl, but get those guys the ball in space, and let them run in the open field. You don't always have to throw it 20 years downfield, especially against such an elite D Line that won't give you time for those long plays to develope. You can throw it 5 yards and let your playmakers make plays.
Queue the "but we're the #1 offense in the league crowd".
I'm also a Laker fan, and the analogy I'll draw is Russell Westbrook. He was always a triple double machine in the regular seasons, but he was easily neutralized in the playoffs.
Playoff defenses will take something away from you, and you will need to adjust, on the fly.
It's easy to be a front runner when everything is going easy for you, but good teams adjust. The Pack and Jags games looked in hand, but they adjusted, and we had no idea how to counter their moves.
I hope I'm wrong.
We have a really tough path to the SB. Can we beat the Bucs, Niners and Eagles in consecutive weeks all on the road?
I seriously doubt it, but I hope I'm wrong.

He also has 1 year left in his contract, a good front office would just draft his replacement. Or has a free-agent target in place? Maybe trade Dak for Lamarr Jackson.

1 year? I thought it was 2 more? So there is hope..
No way in hell the Ravens would do that. I don't think GMs value Dak like many of this forum think, even though desperate teams do desperate things.

Sigh.....if Kellen just had a QB...Everyone would be singing a different tune.

Surprisingly....he's taken a guy with zero ability...and got a 12-5 record out of him.

He can get released after year 3. The team saves 12M in cap space.

You blaming the pick 6 on Brown?
Watch Noah's route running. Lazily rounded off. Had he ran hard 3-5 yards, then quickly and sharply made a 45° angle cut to the sideline, Noah Brown would have forced the CB to respect his route running and created the needed space to get open on such a quick out-route.

Because he (Moore) sucks at playcalling and designing better pass route concepts, that's why. Oh, and not getting after your Oline, WRs and QBs coaches as well.
So the number three scoring points per game offensive coordinator doesn’t know how to call please funny really funny you can’t make up this kind of dumb

Then why have so many analysts and former players called Dak out for throwing the pass to the inside????? If Brown had run a sharper out route as you say then Dak's pass would have been even further inside than it was.....but you keep defending Dak at all costs in spite of empirical evidence to the contrary.
It's understandable how those who never played the sport don't understand how important proper route running is for both the QB and receiver. Here you go, this video explains from an ex-pro receivers coach how important proper route running is...

Where were the open receivers against Washington? Next Gen Stats judged the Cowboys receivers with the least separation out of all Week 18 games. Do you know more than they do?

Go play with your flute. I don't expect those who didn't play football to understand.
