Like taking candy from a baby !Oh yes.
I won a bet against one of em that was sure Zeke would easily have 1,000 rushing yards this season.

They must be in hiding. But there are still Zeke over Pollard fans.
FACT.
Maybe they are embarrassed because they have a Zeke signed bobble-head, and they can’t admit it's next to worthless now? I dunno.
But many fans are still Zeke over team.
Lol, nevermind Pollard. What’s comedy is when Zeke “goes off” for 65 yards on 19 carries they start heeeehawing like he went for 200+ yards. They must be in hiding.
I don't see how based on the objective play on the field how anyone could think Zeke is a better player than Pollard.
Man, its tough when the player you loved for good reason starts to decline.Lol, nevermind Pollard. What’s comedy is when Zeke “goes off” for 65 yards on 19 carries they start heeeehawing like he went for 200+ yards.
I dont think it panned out well. Especially not the last 4 years. We needed defense, not a RB.I love Pollard, I think he's dynamic and should 100% be the full time guy with the exception of getting spelled when necessary. I too wasn't a fan of the pick, I wanted Ramsey at that spot, but Zeke panned out pretty well in my opinion.
They do seem to like him a lot. I think he's a good team guy, but the Cowboys moved on from guys like Emmitt and Ware, they can move on from Elliott too. If he's back it should only be on a significant payout. With this Front Office with Jerry getting emotionally attached to certain players, anything unfortunitly is possible.
1000% This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^They do seem to like him a lot. I think he's a good team guy, but the Cowboys moved on from guys like Emmitt and Ware, they can move on from Elliott too. If he's back it should only be on a significant payout.
Yep, I was saying that his rookie year as well.Pollard was even a better back in his rookie year than Zeke. Wish that they should have left Zeke out to dry when he asked for that monster contract. Let him hold out for an entire year if he wanted to.
Exactly.I love Zeke and everything he's done for this team since day 1. It would suck to see him go, but sucks even more is watching him be a shell of his former self. With a price tag that he currently carries, there is no way he is on this team after June 1st unless there is a mega restructure.
I really don't understand those 2 weirdos. Thread had nothing to do with Zeke. They are like Tony Sopranos mom in the series. LolThey gotta keep up the charade and make sure there's still a fight.
There are ZERO non-Tony Pollard fans. FACT.
Because Pollard isn't the QB's best friend.Did any reporter ask why Pollard isn't starting and being the lead back by a wider margin?
Pollard is 6'0 210, so he's not small or frail as some tend to imply...the man said he can haul it. It's time for KM to use TP close to how CMC is used by Shanahan.
What? You expect reporters to actually do their jobs?Did any reporter ask why Pollard isn't starting and being the lead back by a wider margin?

If they cut him he would be designated post June 1 and would have $5.82 million in dead money and save $10.9 million on June 2, 2023. Dead money isn't anything new or anything they try to avoid when it's time to move on.Elliott is on the books for $5.8 million next year no matter what because of guaranteed bonuses. His dead cap hit would be $11.8 million if we cut him (because of the prorated bonuses for the next two years), so if the team can restructure and take his base salary down to $1 million or even $2 million, that might be worth doing.
His cap hit right now for 2023 would be $16.8 million. His cap hit with a $2 million base salary instead of $10.9 million would be $7.8 million. So we actually would save more against the cap doing something like that. Of course, players are prideful so I doubt he'd take an $8.9 million pay cut, but he isn't worth more than that at this point. At the most, we could reduce him to the same level as his dead cap hit for the year, but we don't really save doing that because we still have the dead cap hit the next year and year after. The Cowboys may just view it as better to get his entire dead cap off the books.
Me? I think it's reasonable to keep him at a reduced rate that would cut his dead cap hit for next year. Instead of having $5 million to spend by cutting him, we'd keep him and have nearly $9 million to spend if we reduced his base to $2 million (if my numbers are accurate). At $2 million, playing time isn't even guaranteed if someone better steps up.
How much is reduced ?Agreed,
Would like to see him stay at a reduced salary.
He could be our short yardage specialist
1M a year.How much is reduced ?
How much would you overpay for just a goal line backup ?
