i think Pollard is an average blitz blocker at this point. maybe he is not as woeful as he used to be, and improving,
but i'd hardly call him soundly reliable in that area as of now.
- As complete as Kellen would prefer to call Pollard, he is not and will not be dynamic and effective as he can be in Kellen's scheme and ultilzation, imo
Only thing i think i see that is an improvement that Kellen may be calling a bit more edge runs for Pollard in the run game.
Credit better edge blockers in Steele, Tyler and Ferguson in that sense.
- But Kellen doesn't seem to employ much " misdirection" deception in his designs - which makes it easier for the defense to predictable read- tip off and jump the play
for loss yardage and no gains.
And it continues to tick me off when i see unblocked tacklers coming in from the edge and backside to smack the RB in his tracks before he can even get to the line.
-And I have long fussed and griped about we could've been using Pollard in a similar sense as Christian McCaffrey in the passing game; but Kellen is limited
imagine creativity, .. . After finally trying out Pollard on a wheel route (alaVikes) he'll get impatient , throw it outta window or he tends to give up and just stick
to his predictable basis.
