No one wants to take a pay cut to coach a team they have no control over.
They don't even have control over their own staff picks. Let alone player decisions.

Mike McCarthy was smart to say no. Because then at least he projects the image of being fed up.
Him saying no to Jerry helps his public perception. So he looks like he quit the dysfunctional Cowboys.

If he wanted the job that bad then he should have had the decency to exit the playoffs earlier, lol - just like when he was here.
