So what if KM coveted the job, why report since he didn't get the job? Where's the report on Saleh, Deion, Frazier?

I don't believe it. Hey, what if Jerry wanted to wait for Kellen but Kellen didn't want to come back? It's possible. I know we didn't want Kellen but he may not have wanted to come back here. He's one game away from the SB. He can stay in Philly one more year and next offseason he's another hot assistant name again. He's back on the HC radar with a real organization that wants to be about winning football instead of meddling owners.

This is more true than most want to admit. I have read in 2 places this morning where Moore was expressing his disappointment. Being the HC of America's Team still means something no matter how much that Star has been tarnished.
I believe that when the Joneses have their conversations with these coaches that the coaches express what they would need to do the job well. If their needs don't align with what the Joneses are willing to do, then the Joneses don't get back to them.

I feel like that likely happened with both Deion and Moore, whether it was money or control or whatever. As a boss, you feel out what it would take to get the other side to agree and if what they want is more than you are willing to give, then you move on.

Moore likely said in his interview what he would need to be coach, and it would be understandable for him to be disappointed if the Joneses passed on it. We seem to assume that these coaches either passed on the job or that the Joneses weren't interested in them. But I don't think it's that black and white.

Of course he did, I don't blame him. Any coach would
Top tier coaches may not be thrilled about working here since the FO isn't thrilled about even interviewing them either, lol

However, if your a new HC like Jerod Mayo, Antonio Pierce or Schottenheimer it's a GREAT place to work because your guaranteed of not being fired for at least 3 years.....which should be the time every HC should get to turn a franchise in the right direction

But other reports Moore wanted nothing to do with being the HC of the Cowboys. So someone is lying.

If there’s one positive out of all this, this should end the Kellen Moore talk for the fiuture and hopefully forever.

The notion that the cowboys job isn't desirable is laughable to me. Bellicheck wanted it, Deion would have taken it. Even with jerry's meddling people want this job. Why?

Well for one, we haven't one anything in 30 years so the expectations have obviously be lowered. If you can bring this once proud franchise back to a title they would build statues for you.

Secondly, this roster isn't bad. It has talent, it just needs direction.

To say one of the most prolific jobs in sports isn't desirable is crazy.

Absolutely. It is the most desirable head coaching job of the 32. Top candidates were knocking the doors down trying to get Jerry Jones to hire them. Jerry had the top prospect on staff already. Who knew?

If I'm being honest with myself Kellen Moore doesn't have the demeanor of a head coach and I do see Schotty being a better locker room voice and leader than Kellen.
