Welp, get ready for the Gallup targets on 3rd and short instead of running the ball
yeah question was stupid, and his answer too.
you dont play the game to get the ball to the supposed stars. you play to win, so it doesnt matter who the qb throws too, as long as they catch it.
Dallas often tries too hard to target specific guys.

Not all his fault, but I appreciate him taking the blame. I think Gallup was open on several plays and Dak just went somewhere else.

Plus, he threw a little behind him on one of those two targets. A better throw and that's a catch. It should have been a catch anyway, but it's difficult when you're slanting to the middle of the field and the ball is thrown away from your momentum and back toward the defender trailing you.

Someone should have asked him if he was taking the blame for Gallup’s drop.

FWIW, Broaddus said on The Fan today that Gallup isn’t getting any separation.
A guy that can make catches like this doesnt need much separation per se. If its 1 on 1 coverage you just put the ball on him and let him make a play.

Dak refusing to throw against zone again?

Gallup was injured last year to start the season. It’s what led to more 2 personnel. He came back during the Atlanta game.

When he came back, Dak still sucked against zone. He was getting targeted more when he was the 3 WR.

Anytime there is actual, genuine accountability shown in public by any coach or player of this team I am both pleased and surprised.
One, accountability in general regarding job performance is treated as a no no around here so that public perception can be manipulated.
So anytime somebody actually comes out and says my bad, that was on me.
That's a good thing imo.
But not the scripted pretend to be accountable line while shifting the blame to something or someone else even while still talking. It was my fault but it wasn't really, lol.

That's fake.

And that's usually the norm.

KM got better the 2nd half, he started actually scheming runs out of the same set with motion, again for the first time in a long time it did not look like he was pulling plays out of a hat. The first half was bad though. Lets see if he continues this because if he does the PA will get really good.
