Kellen Moore reminds me of Josh Heupel. Highly productive college QB who lacks the skill set to play in the NFL.

I'm amazed how many people still confuse college skill with NFL skill. Especially when it involves their school. Hey I saw XYZ quarterback torch Devry with my own eyes we need to trade up in the first to get him!

he was an severely underestimated over-achiever QB in college, really smart QB, at least in college. Not sure about his arm, but at least it always seemed he knew WHERE to throw the ball.
Interesting pickup.

He will probably run the scout team here. He is a guy who can pick up an offense fast

No doubt it is a plus he knows what Linehan does and has the intangibles. To me, he looks like a career 3rd stringer that ends up coaching eventually. Maybe that is the charm.

But I do not think he is better than Weeden from a physical perspective. If he could make the all the NFL throws, the Lions would have kept him again. I don't think you can claim he can win any games in the NFL because he has never been asked to do so.

I also wonder what he adds overall. As an arm, he's left handed. As a scout QB, is that going to help or hurt? I think he will be a good film room player to have in the QB meetings though.

142 TDs in his Collegiate career. Heisman Trophy candidate. Strong, accurate arm. Feet are always moving. Can't run worth a lick but I'm on board! Definitely an upgrade over Weeden and will be an excellent mentor to Showers.
