I thought it was a terrible hire then and even more so now... dude got handed a Ferrari when he should have been the valet/ towel boy for a few years paying his dues learning

A guy who got supplanted by Dak for the backup role and HE'S the guy, with zero coaching experience and no real starting experience in the league that is tasked with developing our QBs? Is it any wonder nobody is learning anything on this team? Is it any wonder why Dez is going to the browns and saying things like he's ready to learn or when sanjay got here, receivers are saying this is the most they ever learned? There is a serious problem on offense with the staff, and you can see the start contrast in comparison to the defense. You can see the tangible improvement on the defense with Richard's hire. The offense is a country club as has already been mentioned.

I was thinking he should BE the backup QB.

Hes significantly better than our backups, at least while White is this young.
Not gonna happen though.

My guess is that role with what they have,vut if Dak somehow got hurt for longet term, they'd go get a vet

We have two guys (Garrett and linehan) who are the smartest guys in the room and seem to want to have total control

Rush has not improved. I have zero confidence with him as a backup.

White actually showed growth with his pocket awareness. He is starting to step up out of trouble and keep his eyes downfield. He is also mastering the offense better. He started making some really sweet throws downfield. His arm talent is obvious. I have zero confidence in him as a backup but he is certainly worth developing.

I think we sign a backup QB at cut downs.

Ya,but! ,,,He has a laser lock stare down to his definitely committed targets, now,while in the fray of the game in his early playing career it might not be that big of a deal, it will be if it continues.
