OMG this is a game I will never forget. I was in the Marines, living in NC. My father in law tried to get me tickets to see Cowboys Giants, but they were sold out. We have relatives in Jersey. So he bought me tickets to week 15 in Philly. He bought around week 3. I was supposed to go with my wifes uncle.... oooops, that was the same weekend as his 1st son's birthday, so he couldnt go. I went alone. When he bought the tickets, nobody knew that this game would decide the NFC east title. This was my first ever Cowboys game. I pulled up and parked, right in front of an older Eagles fan. I was 21 at the time. I get out of the car with my Cowboys sweatshirt and Cowboys hat on. The guy says... oh great, im parking next to a Cowboys fan? He was cool as hell. Invites me to go tailgate with his friends. They fed me, free beer, walked me up and showed me to my seat. If you didnt watch this game, you cant imagine how good Philly's Gangrene Defense was. Reggie White at his best, Jerome Brown..... that Eagles team was damn good. The Cowboys were 2 seasons removed from a 1-15 season, and you could sense we were on our way up. What a FREAKING memory! My father in-law passed away in July..... I will never forget him always thinking of others, and getting me to my first Cowboys game. Fast forward 28 years later and going to Cowboys home season openers is now a family tradition for us.... we live in Ca. The Dallas Cowboys means so much more to me than just a football team. I am one lucky SOB that I now get to share them with my wife and 4 daughters!
