Ken Hamlin visiting Dallas on Wed.

Back on topic. If we pick up Hamlin I guess Henry stays at Corner and we probably don't draft any secondary despite needing some depth at CB.

Does anybody know of any stellar MLB's in the draft?

"Ball-hawking center fielder" does not come to mind.
8 INTs and 20 PDs in his first 3 full NFL seasons ain't bad.

By that standard, Roy's five picks last year would make him a "roving ball-hawker."

my buddy from Seattle told me they think Hamlin is a punk. Take that for what its worth but he is a hardcore seachickens fan.

In the first 2/3s of the season (when he made all of those those picks) he was having an absolute monster season. He led the league in turnovers for quite some time. Maybe there's some truth to the injury rumor with Roy. His play certainly tanked. Regardless, he's not nearly as bad as people claim. You knew that, though.

Hamlin is a good safety he can play the run and is a good cover guy. Like shefter said he will kill recivers across the middle

Its an upgrade from what is already there and can add depth during a long season.

I hope Pat Watkins is the real deal but if not, ANYTHING is better than watching Keith Davis be overly aggressive and getting toasted. KD is a hell of a kickoff team contributor but not somebody you want back there in coverage.

Sure he might get beat up in a club again but at least that 16 million under the cap can be spent on a solid veteran and not let in Jerry's bank account collecting interest.

If Hamlin is signed, theres goes any Nelson or Merriweather picks. It will be WR, CB or BPA.

Forget Roy. Is Hamlin the answer at free safety? That's my concern.

Hamlin stinks, he is better off as a SS. There is a reason Seattle let him go. He cannot cover. He is a questionable character guy also.

Hamlin may not be great in coverage -- but if the pass rush improves then it isn't so much a concern. And Hamlin, he can lay the lumber. I for one, would like to see him at the right price. If we are going to play an aggressive D, I'd love to see someone lik Hamlin who can scare the tar out of opposing WRs and TEs.

We already have a safety who meets that description. We need a guy who can cover.

Depends on what you mean by "the answer." I'm sure he'll be infinitely better than Davis. His "stats" don't look bad, but we don't really have access to the meaningful stats.

im thinking this is likely to happen.. hamlin hasnt been getting much attention and this is what jones was talking about when he said " later on when prices drop" hamlin will sign for cheap

If Hamlin is signed, then Dallas is really set up for BPA when the draft comes up. They would've addressed two key concerns: FS and OL. I really think after those two positions, WR is the next concern with TO and Terry getting up there in football years. Would love to see Meachem with a star. If not him, then get Huggins(sp?) in a later round. Branch, DL, seems to be falling, so if he's there at 22, I'd take him.

Then there's also the JuJo trade-let's move up in the draft possibility to land either Peterson :)D) or Lynch.

This has got to be one of the most exciting times of the year other than the actual games.

A WWI corpse is better than Davis. I'm also wondering why Hamlin's sitting out there like a loaf of stale bread. Why hasn't been snapped up already? After all, we're not the only team with problems at safety.

Cant cover, issues on and off the field... but anything is better.

Yawn.

The only way this will satisfy me is there will be no more talk about drafting Nelson @ 22.

P-Watkins will be the starter come week 1 (as long as he stay healthy, knock knock).
