We franchised him and his ours for the entire 08 season for roughly $4M+.

After the 08 season is over, we will have a better feel on where our precious cap money must be spent. First priority is to ensure we can keep Ware, followed (if we don't get it done before 08 season begins) by re-signing TO & Newman. We'll probably also be able keep Canty & maybe MBIII but Colombo will be gone (love the guy and his nasty attitude on the field) but we've got younger guys who should be able replace but hate to see him go. As for keeping Hamlin, it will all depend on how RWilliams plays in 08 cause if he not improved we may let him go & use that money to keep Hamlin as our SS.

Other players like Tank Johnson need to be evaluated. Hmmm.

Will be interesting to see how the owners vote in Oct/Nov re uncap. Will he provide the relief we need or cause more problems then it solves.

How much of a cap hit would it be if this occured???

I have 2 guys a "shocker" picks, Phillips and Albert. If Wade thinks Mayo can be a Zach type player he might fit as well.

I'm not real hellbent on drafting a S in the first, but given our situation, I would be very happy with this....

I'm not sure how I would feel if we took a CB and a S w/ our 1st rounders. That's a lot of $$$ tied up in the secondary plus we could still get Pacman. If we went this route, we'd probably HAVE to take a WR in the 2nd since this is a weak WR class and a RB in the 3rd since this is a deep class for RBs.....

There's a lot of money tied up in Safety between him and Roy. There's a reason Phillips was so high on that white board list.

the great part is Kenny can play CB too! I have wanted Kenny to dallas as much as i want DMAC.

I was just about to post the exact same thing. I could definitely see us take Phillips at the #22 spot (if he is there) as he would represent the best player available and would allow us to not be held hostage by Hamlin.

I however, will be surprised if he's there at #22.
