What do you guys think? Would you consider him if the Jets let him go?

I'm perfectly fine going into next season with Hamlin as the FS but this guy when in top form is a definite upgrade.

It doesn't matter b/c they won't let him go.

Rex Ryan non-commital on bringing Rhodes back 1/25/2010 8:42:52 PM

Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News reports Jets coach Rex Ryan, speaking cryptically, was non-committal on whether he wants to bring back safety Kerry Rhodes in 2010. Ryan said he had a private meeting with Rhodes, and he refused to talk about it. Rhodes, too, was non-committal on whether he wants to return. Sounds like a trade is going to happen.

Well now, that's something to get interested over.

What kind of picks or players would it take to get him here? An out of conference trade is always a more attractive option than somebody you might see fairly soon.

We're better off just drafting someone. Rhodes fell off big time this year. His situation closely mirrors that of Roy Williams a few years back.

they aren't sure of keeping him....you beat me to the topic..why not give him a shot if we let go of hamlin..yea he was benched but did step up his game and is familiar with a 3-4 defense...when the jets got him he was the top safety in free agency

Well I stand corrected. :D

Rhodes is nowhere near the player he once was. I see flashbacks of Roy Williams complaints if we were to get him :)

him and ryan didnt see eye to eye at times this season as well

he even benched rhodes at one point this season

rhodes responded in his next start with a int and a solid all around game

no way you can say he wont be let go. not saying its going to happen but its definitely possible

i wouldnt mind us picking him up at all. i rather have and sensabaugh at the safety spots but with hamlin contract it will be hard to rid ourselves of him

Depends on the asking price, I would think maybe a 4th or 5th.

Anything higher and I tell Ryan to go **** himself!!!!!

I tell him that anyways...

Depends on the price. I wouldn't mind the move cause I think even if he's not what he once was he's still an upgrade over Hamlin. But I wouldn't want to give up to much to get him.

I don't want him.

I also think the Jets are going to have issue next year and they won't see the AFC championship game and maybe not even make the playoffs.

I don't think Rhodes is a game changer honestly... I'd rather see what Mike Hamlin has to offer or go in the draft and find a guy.

I agree... I don't know the details behind this, but if Ryan doesn't want him, there's a good chance something's wrong with him.

Let's just draft a guy or find an under the radar type like Sensabaugh.

The Cowboys should trade Rhodes for Hamin. The Cowboys need a play maker and the Jets need some one who hits hard!! That would be a perfect trade partner!

Than the Cowboys could draft either a OT or WR with the first 2 picks!! They could also trade next years number #1 for another #1 for this year draft.

JJ needs to go for it all because the Super Bowl is in Bid D next year!! What do you guys think!?
