Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News reports Jets coach Rex Ryan, speaking cryptically, was non-committal on whether he wants to bring back safety Kerry Rhodes in 2010. Ryan said he had a private meeting with Rhodes, and he refused to talk about it. Rhodes, too, was non-committal on whether he wants to return. Sounds like a trade is going to happen.

If Rex Ryan doesn't want him, then I don't see Wade wanting him either.

It's more due to personal disagreement than ability. He was the starter, was benched a couple of games because of some missed tackles, reclaimed his job and made plays the rest of the season.


If you've ever watched the Jets play then you know they put a lof on their safeties with blitzes from everywhere. This isn't like our D where we tell Hamlin to stay deep and set every one up.

Those Jets safeties run blitz and pass blitz, cover all kinds of receivers and play deep also. I'd take the guy in a heartbeat if he's available. He's just 27 too.
