Broadus full of ****. There are two corners hurt and one of them more than likely wasn't going before 28 anyway. This is why I laugh at anybody taking these (experts) serious. Even after the draft people still had king as a third rounder. Now we get twitter updates about him not giving up a td and everything changes :lmao2:

6'3 200 lb CB that ran a 4.43 40, 39.5" vert and had the fastest time of any player at the combine in both 3 cone and 20 yard shuttle. I think people are underestimating how freaky those #'s are...he's going top 20.

Yes, he's an athletic freak but so was Darius Heyward-Bey. Best 40 and among the best at the position in every other drill. He's sure turned that athleticism into a great career.

There's no doubting King's measurables are off the charts, but it doesn't translate well on film. It's clear in his recovery skills but there's a lot of that in his tape. There's a lot of recovery, but not so much using his athleticism to mirror his man and stay in position. He a guy who's measurables are better than his tape to me.

I never said anything about his career...just saying he's enough of an athletic freak that he's going to go high in the draft, just like Heyward Bey did. Of course athletic freaks always get over drafted,

I can see our coaches really liking King. He's a natural athlete. He may not be the best tackler but the willingness is there.

Wouldn't be upset with King at 28.

I would. He gets bullied by bigger wr's, (check the USC and AZ St. tape) lacks upper body strength, terrible tackler. I personally don't see how throwing your body at the feet of the crowd is a willing tackler. He avoids contact is what I see. I like his athleticism, has to add 15-20 lb's of muscle in upper body, imo.

I'd rather have Shaquill Griffen in the later rounds. He has the measureables, plays zone coverage. I think the safety play at UCF was horrendous and SG might be a mid-rd steal (4th-5th rd).

Feel free to demonstrate him "avoiding" contact.

Arizona State? Here's King playing 6'4" 220 lb N'Keal Harry perfectly, shielding him from the ball and coming down with the INT.

He has highlights, very athletic guy. Now go watch the whole game and come back with your thoughts.

I do (watch the complete game "tape") which is exactly why I know he doesn't avoid tackling.

I provided that specific clip because you called out that game (Arizona St.) and his play against big receivers (D'Neal Harry/6'-4" 220 lbs).

So I'm asking of specific time stamps of when he "avoids" contact.

I don't think anyone is saying King avoids contact, but he's a big corner who likes to tackle like a smaller player, goes low often.

Hey, at least he can catch footballs that are thrown his way. That's an upgrade to anybody we have in the secondary, not counting Heath.

This is proof that we won't draft him. He played the ball. We can't have that around here.

The more I read about him the more I believe he would be a good fit for our defense. Can play pretty much every position in the secondary and excels as a zone coverage corner
Sorry but no. King plays smaller than his size. Theres a reason why he doesnt play S anymore and thats because he couldnt tackle. He's going to be a bust in the nfl. He's slow and he cant cover shifty faster WRs.

He'd definitely bring some swagger to the team. I'm not sure where a 50 year old short white guy would fit in Marinelli's scheme, but he's got to be better than Jack Crawford right?

He could smack some people in the heads with his BC Rich head stock to wake them during meetings lol.
